A lethal fungus is rapidly spreading across the US, especially in states like Florida and Texas. Aspergillus fumigatus can cause a serious lung infection and lead to death in vulnerable individuals. Doctors advise those at risk to avoid soil, wear masks in dusty areas, and maintain clean air in hospitals and homes. The fungus is a critical threat according to the World Health Organization due to high death rates and rising drug resistance.

A comprehensive new study of nearly 400,000 older folks receiving care in their homes has found that lonely older adults had an 18-to-23% LOWER risk of dying within a year compared to “non-lonely” seniors.

Flight attendants are speaking in code.
