“How Much IS A Buttload?…The Mouse Buyin’ Lotsa Boom …& Passing An Organ!”

If you’ve ever talked about having a “buttload” of something, be careful, because a “butt” is a real unit of measurement.  It amounts to about 108 imperial gallons, or about 130 American gallons. It’s not common now, but it was once used for casks of liquids, like wine and whiskey.  When you’d fill the barrel up, you’d have a “buttload” of wine . . . though you’d probably just call it “a full butt.”

The U.S. Department of Defense (or the Department of War) buys more explosive devices than anyone else in the world.  Who’s number two?  The Walt Disney Company, because of all the fireworks they buy for their parks.

The placenta that a woman grows during pregnancy is technically an organ . . . and it’s the only organ that’s meant to leave the body.
