Home Sweet Dolly: Motley Crue’s Power Ballad Gets a Makeover

Motley Crue has released a powerful new version of their 1985 hit “Home Sweet Home”. . . but this time they enlisted the help of Dolly Parton. And it’s all for a great cause.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit Covenant House, an organization that supports youth facing homelessness by providing food, shelter, and care. This collaboration celebrates the 40th anniversary of the iconic power ballad, but it’s not Dolly’s first rock rodeo . . . she went full “Rockstar” on her 2023 album with legends like Paul McCartney, Mick Fleetwood, and Steve Perry. Motley Crue says having Dolly on the track is a “career high,” and Dolly called it an “honor and a joy.” (You can check out Dölly Crüe, here.)

According to the not-always-reliable British tabloids, Orlando Bloom felt the same way about Katy Perry’s space trip as the rest of us did. The Daily Mail says Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship was allegedly on the rocks after her space trip and now they’re fighting over attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding. A source says, ‘She does have prior commitments, but it goes deeper than that. Katy feels like they’re really her friends more than his, and yet he’s the one going to the wedding. And he’s insistent that he goes, which annoys her because he’s not particularly close to either of them. He complains about her going to space, and then wants to go to the wedding of the people who made it possible for her to do this in the first place. That’s difficult for her to accept. They’re already spiraling and now the wedding is another thing that they have to fight about.’
