Heroic 13-Year-Old Saves Drowning Child in Silver Lake & 80-Year-Old Becomes Oldest To Finish Death Valley Race
13-year-old Gauge Bryant is being hailed as a hero after rescuing a young boy who fell into Silver Lake in Everett, Washington. Bryant spotted the child underwater, pulled him to safety, and held him above the surface before performing chest compressions until firefighters arrived. Witnesses praised the teen’s bravery and fast action. Bryant now hopes to reunite with the boy he saved — and plans to become CPR certified.
Bob Becker, an 80-year-old runner from Florida, has made history as the oldest person to complete the Badwater ultramarathon — a grueling 135-mile race through California’s Death Valley, often called the “world’s toughest foot race.”
