An 87-year-old man from New Jersey recently finished the Richmond, Virginia Marathon with his family by his side. Dr Rao Yalamanchili completed the 26.2 miles in just under seven-and-a-half hours. It was his third marathon. Yalamanchili’s daughter and granddaughter, both medical professionals, ran alongside him. Despite claiming this was his last marathon, Rao’s family wouldn’t be surprised if he ran another one.
