The Most Redneck Thing You’ll See All Day
Hugh Grant is upset with the amount of screen time his kids are getting . . . at school. Hugh said even the kinds of “ridiculous posh private schools” that his kids go to seem to find excuses to limit the kids’ outdoor time. But they’re PROUD of the fact that every child gets their own Chromebook. Hugh has five kids with two women . . . they’re between the ages of 7 and 13.
Willie Nelson’s 154 studio album “Oh What a Beautiful World” is out today. It’s a tribute to his longtime friend and fellow musician Rodney Crowell . . . Every song on the album was written by Crowell. In case you were wondering, Willie is 91 years old . . . and this is his 77th solo project. Which is exactly half of the 154 studio albums that he’s been a part of. I wonder if he planned it that way. Or maybe it was just a happy accident. Either way, Willie seems to be doing just fine. (You can find out more about the album, here.)
File this under, “The Most Redneck Thing You’ll See All Day”. Hardy is hanging out by a creek bed, when all of a sudden, he sees a snake nearby, picks it up…and it immediately sink its teeth into him. So, he probably throws the snake down, right? WRONG. Next, he grabs a stick and uses it to PRY THE SNAKE’S MOUTH OPEN from off his hand. I think Hardy should have his own nature show, he could be the Southern Steve Irwin. (You can watch the clip, here.)
The line-up for next month’s ACM Awards is suddenly STACKED with big names. They’d already announced Blake Shelton, Lainey Wilson, and Eric Church and just added Chris Stapleton . . . Miranda Lambert . . . Kelsea Ballerini . . . Alan Jackson . . . Brooks & Dunn . . . Cody Johnson . . . Rascal Flatts . . . Clint Black . . . Wynonna Judd . . . and LeAnn Rimes. Chris Stapleton on that list means last year’s winners for Best Male AND Female Artist are performing. Lainey won Best Female Artist a year ago, and Entertainer of the Year. Chris won best Male Artist, and Album of the Year. The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards will stream live on Prime, May 8th. Reba is hosting again for a record 18th time.
The funeral of Pope Francis, who died this week at 88, will be livestreamed Saturday on YouTube, available for free in multiple languages.
People magazine says Timothée Chalamet recently surprised students and teachers at his former high school, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, in New York City. The actor shared advice with aspiring actors and posed for photos during the visit. Chalamet also visited Bob Dylan’s former school in Minnesota, where he spent time talking with drama students about acting and theater. A source tells the magazine, “He was such a kind and easy-going person, and our students were so grateful to have such a special experience.”
InTouch Weekly claims Jennifer Lopez is allegedly enjoying a flirtatious dynamic with her co-star Brett Goldstein on the set of “Office Romance.” An insider says, “They’re both professional and ready to deliver their lines when the cameras are rolling, but in between, it’s a flirt fest. Brett fawns all over Jennifer, and she’s absolutely loving the attention. He is so adoring, which is exactly what she needs right now.”
RadarOnline.com claims Khloé Kardashian’s alleged frequent nose surgeries have friends worried her shnozz could collapse like Michael Jackson’s. A source says, “She’s tweaked her nose so many times that there’s nothing much to operate on because the cartilage is so thin. But it’s always been one area of her features she felt most insecure about and can’t stop tampering with. Her mom has the same issue. In fact, all her sisters are so surgery-obsessed that they’re not likely to notice the damage Khloe’s doing to herself.”
The News International says Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant have allegedly postponed their wedding multiple times due to scheduling conflicts. A source says, “The really beautiful thing about their relationship is they are truly best friends. There is no one Keanu would rather spend time with than Alexandra. Keanu and Alexandra put off their wedding a couple of times. It had “nothing to do with their commitment to each other, it all came down to schedule conflicts. The planning has been a big stumbling block so it wouldn’t shock anyone if they were to elope and cut out all the fuss.’’
The News International says Elizabeth Hurley’s friends, including Elton John, are surprised by her new romance with Billy Ray Cyrus. A source says, “She’s been waiting a long time for romance. I think she likes the whole cowboy thing. Liz’s friends think it must be a joke or madness, but they aren’t saying it to her. Elton may not understand this relationship, and is a bit bemused by it. But for all his faults, Elton is really loyal to Liz. This is not a hoax. Liz is not a hoaxy person; she’s very sincere, very bright and I think she likes him. Just look at the photo of them together — she looks happy! People are so quick to be mean.’’
RadarOnline.com claims Jennifer Aniston and Pedro Pascal are allegedly hooking up. An insider says, “They’re trying to downplay it because neither one wants attention on their private life, but the word is they’ve been more than just friends for a while now. They’ve worked hard to keep it discreet, and for the longest time, they succeeded. Only a small circle of people even knew they were friends, let alone hooking up. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, they’re both in full denial mode and hoping it will blow over. If they planned to seriously date it would be a different story, but that’s just not where this is headed. They love spending time together. Pedro is a ray of sunshine, and Jennifer is one of the sweetest people you could meet. In many ways, they’re a great match – but they’re also in very different places in life. They’ve both agreed they’re better off having fun with zero expectations than trying to force a big commitment. Why rock the boat?”
The Sun says Carrie Underwood’s future on American Idol is uncertain. A source says, “At the beginning of filming, everyone thought [Carrie] would be back next year. Now, it’s much more up in the air. Her Idol future is much more uncertain now than it was and I think that feeling is mutual. She seems miserable being away from her family and in LA this much. I don’t think she wants to have to answer to TV networks and play the ‘Hollywood’ game so it wouldn’t be a surprise if she’s one and done.’’
