“I Can Remember Better If I Can’t See…Whiskey Drinking ‘Burry Man’…&Total Tea Tally!”

There’s scientific proof that closing your eyes makes it easier to remember accurate details of things you saw.

There’s a town in Scotland where, once a year, a man (a.k.a. “The Burry Man”) will dress head-to-toe in plants (specifically spiky BURRS) . . . and walk around for seven hours drinking whiskey. The ceremony has been going for hundreds of years, yet the meaning of it is forgotten.  This year’s event happened this past Friday.  (Here are photos.)

The Boston Tea Party in 1773 destroyed 92,000 pounds of tea, which is over $1.7 million in today’s money.
