Everything You Need to Know about the ACM’s…
The ACM Awards ARE TONIGHT…and it’s going to be a HUGE show because it is the 60th annual ACM Awards. The list of performers is pretty incredible: Lainey Wilson . . . Eric Church . . . Blake Shelton…Chris Stapleton . . . Miranda Lambert . . . Kelsea Ballerini . . . Alan Jackson . . . Brooks & Dunn . . . Cody Johnson . . . Rascal Flatts . . . Clint Black . . . Wynonna Judd . . . LeAnn Rimes…Jelly Roll . . . Shaboozey . . . Megan Moroney . . . and the Backstreet Boys. And the show will apparently begin with a 12-minute medley of the “Songs of the Decades” . . . Which makes sense, since this is the 60th annual ACM Awards. It all takes place TONIGHT . . . and will be hosted by Reba McEntire for the 18th time.
Ella Langley leads the pack this year with eight nominations, and she’s already picked up two wins prior to the ceremony, earning new female artist of the year and visual media of the year (for the music video clip for “You Look Like You Love Me,” her hit collab with Riley Green).
George Strait is one of the most successful artists in the history of country music. So, would it surprise you to know that he has the most ACM Entertainer of the Year losses in history? He’s been nominated 14 times . . . and only won TWICE. (George has a total of 24 solo male ACM wins, which puts him at the top . . . for now. Chris Stapleton is hot on his heels with 20. But since George has no nominations this year, and Chris has six . . . All Chris would need is five wins to overtake him.)
Blake Shelton just took some time to meet two of his biggest fans: Tyler and Madison from the Netflix show “Love on the Spectrum”. It was a sweet moment, and Blake was impressed with how much they knew about his music. (You can check out the moment that Blake met Tyler and Madison, here.)
Lainey Wilson loves her mom very much, but there’s one piece of advice she can’t take from her. She said, “My mama cannot carry a tune in a bucket, but she would try to tell me how to sing, and it would make me so mad.
