Country music history was made this week as Megan Moroney’s new album Cloud 9 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart while Ella Langley’s hit single “Choosin’ Texas” reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 — marking the first time two female country artists have simultaneously held No. 1 on both of Billboard’s premier all-genre charts. Moroney celebrated her first ever chart-topping album, and Langley’s crossover smash has become a defining hit as both women break barriers and spotlight the rising strength of female voices in country music.

Yahoo Entertainment says Tom Cruise allegedly prevented Netflix from buying Warner Bros. Sources suggest, “Tom was really cross, furious in fact, at the idea that a streamer would take over such a prestigious filmmaking company. He was very outspoken about it – there was even a suggestion that he might go on strike if it was to happen. Tom has the clout, and he knows it; he likes to use his power for good and change, and now it looks like he has saved the movie industry once again from falling victim to streaming giants. He disagrees with it and very much believes in funding the industry properly so it’s fair for everyone. With Paramount, they are committed to filmmaking – Tom has saved the day again.”
If and when Paramount Skydance buys Warner Brothers Discovery, you can expect Paramount+ and HBO Max to merge into one streaming service.

RadarOnline.com says Billy Bob Thornton’s ego has allegedly grown because of the success of ‘Landman.’ Insiders reveal he is receiving special meals and on-set accommodations. “He’s being treated like a king because everybody knows if they lose him there will be no show at all. Execs don’t want another Kevin Costner/Yellowstone situation where they piss off the star and lose the show in the process. That’s why they’re rolling out the red carpet and Billy Bob’s happy to dance on it.”
Kristen Bell tells Entertainment Tonight that rumors she is earning $60 million for ‘Frozen 3’ and ‘Frozen 4’ are false. “I think there’s been a lot misreported about that ‘Frozen’ deal. The Star says Shia LaBeouf entering rehab will not fix his erratic behavior. A source says, “He’s just so good at convincing people and potential partners; they all fall for it. He’s so convincing when he says, ‘I’ve been in recovery, I’m making amends, I’m flawed — I had this terrible childhood and this terrible past.’ Those demons have resurfaced again, big time, now he’s on his own, and Mia’s not there to keep him on track. He’s putting himself into incredibly dangerous situations, and nobody’s been able to talk any sense into him.”
Naughty But Nice claims King Charles may allegedly hand the throne to Prince William within the next year. A source says, “The transition will look measured and dignified. Health provides the most unassailable explanation. Charles will not be seen as pushed. He has waited a lifetime for this role. When he steps back, it will be entirely on his terms. In many ways, he’s already king unofficially. The institution is preparing emotionally, even if the paperwork hasn’t caught up. The monarchy survives because it adapts before it has to. If there’s a handover, it won’t feel like surrender. It will feel inevitable.”

Luke Combs tells On Purpose that he felt guilty when he missed his son’s birth. “We have our first son, Tex, and then five months later, we find out we’re pregnant with our next, Beau, and so that was a whirlwind. I mean, like, you know, you’re having a 5-month-hold and you’re figuring out how to be a parent, have a baby, and then all of a sudden, you have another baby. …When Beau was born, Tex couldn’t even walk yet. So, it was like my wife’s got one on the hip and one in the cradle, and it’s like, I’m out. I’m in Australia when Beau is born, and that’s like crushing, devastating… My whole identity is that no matter what, I’m going to prioritize my wife and my children over my job, over what I do. They’re my No. 1 priority. I want them to know that. And then here I am having this moment of like, ‘well, guess who wasn’t there?’ The guy that says he’s always going to be there and that will do anything to be there is the only guy that’s not there. And so, it was a huge blow. …And it’s nobody’s fault, obviously. It’s just the way of, you know, it was the universe’s decision.”
Luke Combs tells CountryNow.com that he embraces everyday family life when he’s home between shows. “My life is so normal outside of when I’m playing shows. And I do whatever work stuff I have to do when I’m home, whether that’s writing songs… I’m basically like in some ways another form of a stay-at-home parent when I’m not on the road.”

When I was young, we had a boat, so we’d go tubing and wake boarding.”
