We now have an account of what happened when Hayden Panettiere died. Or at least one side of the story. Zach Hickerson . . . the brother of Hayden’s boyfriend Brian Hickerson . . . spilled his version to TMZ. He said he left church last Sunday morning and texted both Hayden and Brian, but neither of them answered.  He figured they were sleeping.  So he drove to the Airbnb where they were staying. He didn’t have the door code, so he knocked loudly, waking Brian . . . who was asleep with Hayden on a fold-out couch. They tried to wake her up and realized she was unconscious.  So Brian administered a dose of Narcan, then they called 911 and started CPR.  When paramedics arrived, they took over. Zach didn’t say what Hayden overdosed on, though. But he did say, quote, “I am beyond heartbroken and devastated by this tragic and traumatic loss.  Hayden was one of my dearest and closest friends that I loved and cared about for the last 8 years.” On a related note, several celebrities are now speaking out about the way kids are treated in show business, including Rose McGowan, Anna Paquin, and Melissa Gilbert.

A Dolly Parton avatar is in the future.  She says she and her team are working with companies who create avatar performances, and it’s in the early stages. Dolly also gave a health update since canceling a recent Dollywood appearance.  She says she’s been dealing with health issues that she didn’t pay attention to when she was watching over her late husband Carl. Quote, “Even though I’m still healin’, I’m still workin’.” She’s opening a new hotel next month in downtown Nashville called the SongTeller Hotel.  Dolly is also opening a museum there called the Life of Many Colors.  It’ll be the largest exhibit celebrating her life anywhere in the world. And if Dolly’s not doing enough already, she’s also working on a line of dog treats with Purina.  And there’s also her Cup of Ambition Coffee line, which she expects to be available online in September.

I must have missed something, because I really don’t understand how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became so toxic.  But that’s where we are now. And it’s apparently not going to change when they move their family back to the U.K.  Meghan was reportedly attempting to restart her acting career by taking a role in Season 3 of Guy Ritchie’s show “The Gentlemen”. Sources say she was in advanced talks for the part, but then the offer was withdrawn. Quote, “The backlash in the U.K. was so intense, it became untenable to go forward.  This does not bode well for Meghan’s acting comeback.”

TMZ says a routine back procedure will keep Simon Cowell away from America’s Got Talent for several weeks. It is unclear who will fill in at the judges’ table during his absence.

Complex magazine says Drake is now an Ella Fella and was spotted at Ella Langley’s sold-out show in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  He was seen on the Jumbotron singing along and dancing as she performed “Choosin’ Texas.”  A fan video showed him blowing a kiss and applauding during the track.  (You can see a video of Drake in the crowd here.)

Kacey Musgraves’ kicked off her “Middle of Nowhere” tour on Friday and performed “Rhinestoned”, while floating on a pair of disco balls.  She joked, quote, “This is what it looks like when no one tells me no!”

Andrew Garfield has a secret Instagram account, and he’s addicted to it.  He says he likes to look at weird ceramic content and “lots of Japanese kind of craftspeople.” Quote, “My screen time notifications are horrific to me.  It’s like, I’ve given all of those hours to nothing.  It’s genuinely enraging because we don’t have as much control over these impulses as we should, and it’s been by design. “It’s pretty dark when you look at it.”

Bunnie XO tells NBC that she plans to have a baby with or without Jelly Roll. “So I definitely still want to have a baby and that’s going to be one of my newest chapters of my next book, and I can’t wait for you guys to read about it because it’s been one heck of a journey, let me tell you.”

Page Six says Keith Urban recently fought back tears as he sang about his ex-wife Nicole Kidman moving on. He was performing at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.  Keith was about to sing  “We Go Back”  when he said, “This song is about a guy and a girl growing up in a small town. They were the first of their friends to fall in love. They had a good thing going, until the guy screwed it up. I will do that.” A source says, “He’s absolutely devastated and is going through that feeling of deep loss all over again.”

Holler Country says Luke Combs made his voice acting debut over the weekend on Disney Channel’s ‘’Big City Greens’’. He voiced Rusty Twang in the season 5 opener. Luke tells Billboard magazine, “It helped that the character stayed pretty true to who I am in real life, so that made it feel familiar.” It is not yet clear if this is the start of more acting work. “This will be way cooler in their eyes than anything else I’ve done.”

Radar Online says Larry The Cable Guy was recently rushed to the hospital for appendicitis. The 63-year-old comedian had emergency surgery. He is back home and recovering. The health scare forced tapings of his new CBS series ‘’American Mayhem’’ to be postponed.

The National Enquirer says Will Smith is allegedly angry that Chris Rock won’t forgive him for his Oscars slap. Will wants a reprieve from his ten-year Academy Awards ban. A source tells the magazine, “Will has repeatedly apologized to Chris publicly and got absolutely nothing in return, which is very triggering for him. He can’t stand the fact that Chris is refusing to accept his apology and move on from this. It’s incredibly hard for him to have zero control over a situation, that is something he absolutely hates. The fact that he’s got another five and a half years to go before he can set foot in the [Academy Awards] is infuriating.”

The New York Daily News says Meghan Markle allegedly plans to resume her acting career after she and her family move to the United Kingdom. The family plans to leave California by the end of the month. Page Six says Meghan is in talks to join the cast of Guy Ritchie’s action comedy “The Gentlemen”. Naughty But Nice says Guy outplayed Meghan and Meghan never saw it coming.  He pulled off a big publicity stunt and Meghan was the bait. She was in talks to join Season 3 of ‘’The Gentlemen’’, but no role was announced. A source says, “Guy didn’t need to cast Meghan — he needed people talking about The Gentlemen. And overnight, everybody was. There wasn’t ever something concrete to back away from.”

Variety magazine says Shaquille O’Neal will not be appearing in ‘’Avengers: Doomsday’’ or any other Avengers films.  Executives told him he is too big and his face would give him away, making some action scenes hard.  Shaq says, “I want to do a movie with The Rock so I can beat him up”

RadarOnline.com says Taylor Swift wanted to keep her wedding with Travis Kelce private.    Instagram removed a post with an invite after a copyright complaint.  A guest briefly shared the invite online, but quickly deleted it.  Screenshots spread across social media.  A source says, “Taylor wasn’t about to let it circulate online without permission. The wedding was deeply personal, and her team acted immediately. Taylor feels completely betrayed. She trusted her guests to respect her privacy.”

Radar Online says Zendaya and Tom Holland have allegedly tightened limits on what their longtime stylist can say about their private life. Law Roach stunned reporters at the Actor Awards in Los Angeles in March by saying the couple’s wedding had already happened.  A source says, “Tom and Zendaya adore Law and trust him enormously, but after the wedding revelation they made it clear that details about their marriage and home life have to stay private. They didn’t want another casual comment turning something deeply personal into an international headline. Law wasn’t trying to upset them, but he effectively announced their marriage before they were ready to discuss it themselves. Tom and Zendaya have now told him to keep quiet when conversations stray into their personal lives. They want to decide together what becomes public and when, but it has involved effectively censoring Law.”

Ken Jennings tells Entertainment Now that his wife Mindy’s favorite Jeopardy! host is Aaron Rodgers. “He was a solid guest host. He was my wife’s favorite, actually. When I tried to figure out why, I was like, ‘Honey, you know I was a guest host, too.’ And she was like, ‘Well, he’s very handsome.’”

Page Six says Matt Damon was spotted incognito at Disneyland in California. He watched from a distance as his daughter met Goofy.  The moment was captured in a video that quickly went viral. A fan posted, “POV you’re watching your husband and daughter meet Goofy for the first time but don’t realize Matt Damon is also watching.”

The Complex says ‘’National Treasure 3’’ is happening with Nicolas Cage reprising his role as Ben Gates. A script is in place and most of the original cast will return. The two earlier films grossed a combined $806 million worldwide, with the 2007 sequel doing better than the first movie.

Page Six says Hayden Panettiere’s ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson allegedly pawned her belongings before her death. Panettiere’s mother Lesley Vogel told the New York Times she visited last year. Vogel said she was shocked to learn Hickerson pawned Panettiere’s belongings, including a vintage guitar.
