Miranda & Ella

Miranda Lambert has officially entered her country-disco era with her 11th studio album, Crisco, which released on October 2, 2026. The record kicks off with the swaggering, cinematic opening track “Snakeskin Boots”, a high-profile duet featuring breakout star Ella Langley. Described by Lambert as a modern-day Thelma and Louise story—if the famous duo hadn’t driven off the cliff—the song captures the rebellious spirit of two badass women outrunning trouble and pulling off a grand escape. Co-written by Lambert alongside her husband Brendan McLoughlin, Natalie Hemby, and Jesse Frasure, the track perfectly blends late-1960s Western noir with a modern, danceable country-disco groove.
This powerhouse collaboration isn’t the first time the two artists have made magic together. Lambert previously served as a mentor, co-writer, and co-producer for Langley’s record-shattering smash hit “Choosin’ Texas” from her sophomore album, Dandelion. “Choosin’ Texas” went on to spend a historic, record-breaking 24 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, cementing their status as a country dream team. Given their shared retro influences and unmatched musical chemistry, “Snakeskin Boots” serves as the perfect victory lap for the two dynamic artists
