Clooneys Flee as Wildfires Threaten French Estate


George and Amal Clooney had to evacuate their home in France due to wildfires. They and their 9-year-old twins Ella and Alexander live in southeastern France as their primary residence. They also have homes in Lake Como, Italy, England, and Kentucky. The couple evacuated their home in Brignoles as wildfires spread through southeastern France, joining thousands of other residents forced to leave the area. They also expressed support for their local community and pledged to help rebuild if needed.

Willie Nelson is releasing a new memoir in November in honor of his wife Annie.  It’s called “The Last Leaf: Reflections on Late-Life Creativity and My Longest Love Affair”He says, quote, “The backbone of this book is a love story.  The heroine is my wife, Annie, who kept me alive when I was sure I was gone.  COVID nearly got me [in 2022].  I was hurting so bad I wanted out.  But Annie wouldn’t let me go. “The years I’ve lived since then are because of Annie.  And so is this book.”

The prices of ranches in the U.S. have increased by 112% within the last 10 years.  An economist says it’s all thanks to Taylor Sheridan’s shows like “Yellowstone” for exposing ranch life to a wider audience. (For comparison, the median price of traditional homes increased by 66% in the last 10 years.)

Morgan Wallen has the most #1 hits on the radio from a single album, excluding deluxe editions, on any of Billboard’s airplay charts.  He has a total of seven from “I’m the Problem”. If you include deluxe editions, then he ties with Luke Combs’ “What You See Ain’t Always What You Get” and Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream: The Complete Collection”. In other Morgan news, over 600 people in Michigan got scammed out of thousands of dollars for fake meet and greet and tailgate packages.

The NY Post says Tony Romo was recently arrested in Wisconsin for a DUI.  It has been revealed that he had an open bottle of alcohol in his car. Romo was given three citations for open intoxicants, unsafe passing on the right, and operating while under the influence The tickets carry fines of  $267, $235 and $1,066. Romo  was “on his way to visit grandma and grandpa” before he was pulled over.

Page Six says Katy Perry got briefly trapped inside a giant inflatable water bottle during a performance on the Isle of Malta. The bottle drifted toward the back of the crowd. Katy was moved back to the stage. She finished the concert after the scare.

Naughty But Nice says Oprah Winfrey has allegedly declined a second interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.   Harry and Meghan have started talking again to promote their projects.   Oprah is not buying a second sit-down.   She sees no benefit and wants to stay out of their publicity moves.  A source says,  “Oprah took plenty of criticism after the first special. She has absolutely nothing to gain by stepping back  into the royal drama. As far as she’s concerned, that story has been told.”

Kevin Hart tells OK! Magazine that Oprah Winfrey should never be roasted.  “That’d be like spray painting the Sistine Chapel. If I found out that Oprah said she wanted to do it, I’m driving 100 miles per hour to Oprah’s house. You cannot do this. No shot.”

Realtor.com says Meg Ryan made 15.3 million yesterday when she sold her Bridgehampton, New York home.  She bought the property for $13.5 million in 2024. The home has 5,000 square feet, with five bedrooms,  6.5 bathrooms and a heated pool.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if a sports personality released a country music album?  Well, you’re about to find out. Pat McAfee has officially announced his debut country album.  It’s called, “The Diary of a Polarizing Figure” . . . and it’ll be released on August 14th. The former Indianapolis Colts punter and host of “The Pat McAfee Show” has been teasing the project for a while, and now it’s finally becoming a reality. But one of the best moments from the announcement came courtesy of Luke Combs.  After seeing the news, Luke commented on the post and said, “Not calling me on this?  Unforgiveable.” Pat answered back with a few laughing emojis and clarified there are actually no featured artists on the record.  But Ernest did help him with songwriting.
