Christina Applegate Offers Hopeful Message Amid Health Battle

Last week, reports came out that Christina Applegate had been hospitalized since the end of March.  It’s unclear why, but obviously, we all know she’s battling MS. Well, she shared an update yesterday, thanking everyone for the, quote, “outpouring of love and well wishes.” Christina added, quote, “Health issues are a constant for me, but I’m a strong chick and I’m getting stronger and better every day.  I’m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I’ll be back with more to say soon enough.” Her message was paired with an image of a coffee mug with the words “Kissy Kissy” on it, on top of her memoir, “You With the Sad Eyes”. It’s unclear if she’s still hospitalized.

Around 14 years ago, Hasbro announced it was developing a movie based on the game “Hungry Hungry Hippos”.  It still hasn’t happened.  But we ARE getting this: A horror movie about a KILLER hippo . . . and it’s called “Hungry”.  The tagline even says, “This Hippo Isn’t Playing Games”. And while it sounds like throwaway garbage meant to capitalize on an existing IP, this movie looks like it could be REALLY GOOD, judging by the trailer“Hungry” hits On Demand and digital platforms on June 23rd. Interestingly, there’s a line in the trailer that totally contradicts the movie’s title and marketing.  A guy says, quote, “Hippos are vegetarian.  He ain’t killing you to eat you.  He’s killing you for fun.” So not only is he NOT “hungry”, but it appears that he IS playing games.   Still looks like fun, though.

Daniel Radcliffe named his favorite and least favorite “Harry Potter” movies.

A “new” Prince single dropped yesterday.  It’s called “With This Tear”.

Patrick Muldoon, from “Starship Troopers”, “Days of Our Lives” and “Melrose Place” died of a heart attack.  He was only 57.

The Times of India says Taylor Swift allegedly has no plans to have bridesmaids at her wedding. She wants to avoid the pressure of selecting just a few friends and then upsetting the rest of her close circle.  Instead, Taylor is going to have all of her friends play some sort of role in her nuptials.

Jelly Roll has been killin’ it.  He’s been immortalized as a WWE action figure and is currently training to do the New York City marathon in November.  Yes, a marathon . . . that’s 26.2 miles. He posted a vlog giving a health update and shared that he, quote, “kinda got off the rails” with food during the holidays, and broke his collar bone a few days before Christmas. Jelly’s minor setback resulted in gaining 12 pounds since shooting his “Men’s Health” cover.  He currently weighs 276.2 pounds. Quote, “I wanna get these last 40 or 50 pounds off.  And then I eventually wanna cut my skin.  I eventually want to appear on the cover of something crazy like ‘GQ’, or ‘Rolling Stone’ or ‘Vanity Fair’ or ‘Forbes’ or ‘TIME’ with my shirt off. “And it gets real silly now, but I don’t know.  I just believe that there’s this story where a guy can go from 560 pounds to a shirt off picture.”

Heat magazine says Katy Perry allegedly wants to marry Justin Trudeau before Taylor Swift marries Travis Kelce. A source says,  “She’d love to beat frenemy Taylor Swift down the aisle. That’s not the reason Katy is looking at doing hers in June, but it would be an added bonus. ‘Katy and Justin are all loved up and giving serious thought towards tying the knot in the next few months. Katy is totally gaga over Justin, she says he’s the man she’s been dreaming of her whole life, and she doesn’t see any reason to wait any longer to get married because she ‘just knows,’ and so does he.’ This would not be the first time Katy married very quickly, obviously it was a disaster when she did that with Russell Brand, but then look at her and Orlando, she waited so long to pull the trigger because she didn’t want a repeat of Russell and that didn’t work either. It’s made her realize there are no hard and fast rules, so she’s decided to just follow her heart. She and Justin have been talking about this very seriously the last couple of months, it’s just a matter of finding the right time to do it.”

Ryan Reynolds tells Cinemablend that he doesn’t think he’ll ever center Deadpool again as a main character. “I have some stuff kind of written. But I don’t think I’m gonna ever center him again. I think he’s a supporting character. He’s a guy who is great in a group.”

Billy Strings broke his leg Saturday night right before he could come out for his encore.  He tried to do a backside 180 trick on his skateboard and landed awkwardly and heard it snap. He had to postpone his tour dates to later this year in order to heal.  Although, he wanted to perform onstage with a broken foot and “Dave Grohl” it.  Quote, “He even texted me and offered me the throne!” (You can see photos here.)

Sabrina Carpenter brought out Madonna at Coachella, and while you’d think that would be an immediate dance party, the entire surrounding crowd stayed still while filming the moment on their phones. Of course, it’s understandable to want to document an iconic moment.  But it’s just another example of people being connected to their phones and not living in the moment. It makes sense why artists like Jack White, Alicia Keys, and even Paul McCartney have had their fans lock their phones in pouches during their shows. Speaking of that performance, Madonna posted that her outfit went missing, and she’s offering a reward for whoever can find it and return it to her. Quote, “This full circle moment hit different until l discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing.  My costume that was pulled from my personal archives, jacket, corset, dress and all other garments. “These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history.  Other archival items from the same era went missing as well.  I’m hoping and praying that some kind soul, will find these items and reach out to my team. Thank you with all My Heart.” (Police aren’t convinced the stuff was actually stolen, though.  They think the bags were simply lost by the staff.)

Radar Online says Jennifer Lopez is allegedly falling for Brett Goldstein, her co-star in the new Netflix rom com “Office Romance.” A source says, “From the very first days on set there was an effortless rhythm between them – no awkwardness, no forcing it – and as Jennifer spent more time watching how Brett works and carries himself, you could see her becoming more and more captivated by him. It was not just about chemistry in scenes, it was about a growing fascination with who he is and how he approaches everything he does. At first her admiration was clearly rooted in professional respect – she was wowed by Brett’s writing, his acting instincts and the way he has built his career – but that admiration did not stay purely professional for long. It became obvious to people around them that Jennifer was genuinely intrigued by him on a personal level, wanting to understand him better and spend more time in his orbit.”

RadarOnline.com says Ashton Kutcher is allegedly fuming over Mila Kunis’ closeness with her ‘’Wake Up Dead Man’’ co-star Josh O’Connor. A source says, “Working with Josh got to her. You see it whenever they’re in the same room and during the entire press tour. They have real chemistry, the kind you can’t fake. The real question is, how will Ashton handle their ongoing closeness? Even on a good day, he can be a real jerk. Ashton needs to be realistic. Of course, you’re going to make new friends and hit it off with new costars. Josh is a safe guy for Mila to flirt with because he is in an extremely long-term relationship. And Josh is on his best behavior because he desperately wants to be the next James Bond.”

Riley Green tells USA Today that anything his character on ‘Marshalls’ says about the state of Alabama is just acting. “One thing about my fans, especially my Alabama fans, they know how i feel about being from there, and I’m proud of this area and where I’m from. I did think it was cool that my character was written as being from Alabama.”

Luke Combs tells Whiskey Riff that there’s no rivalry among him, Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan. “We all love country music and want to see it rise in popularity around the world. We’re not trying to defeat one another. It isn’t really a game. The goal is to move country music forward. I think that’s what we’re all doing. Some of our fans are probably the same, but some of our fans are different. So, we’re reaching different people, which helps bring country music to more people than what just one of us could. Even though we don’t have an actual scoreboard like sports does, it’s the same in the way competition is good for us all; think it pushes us all to do our best and be our best-all for the genre.”

Billy Bob Thornton tells KSBY that he is writing country music. “I’ve been writing a lot of country songs. For some reason, all of a sudden… I grew up in rock ‘n’ roll, I don’t know how to write a country song. Next thing you know, all the country guys want to write songs with me. Probably written — I don’t know — 18 to 20 songs with most of them having been recorded or are going to be recorded for various albums. “That’s a thing that is kind of new to me, writing in that world.”

Jelly Roll tells Men’s Health Magazine that he is having difficulty with his weight loss journey. “I ate a big Thanksgiving meal and I ate a big birthday meal and I ate a big Christmas meal. And I kinda got off the rails. I said all that to say, I have, to some degree, lost my way. I’m still about 40 or 50 pounds, maybe 60 [away from my goal weight.”

The funds will turn the baseball stadium into a versatile, state-of-the-art multi-use athletic field and will add a softball hitting and pitching facility. The Knox County, Tennessee Commission is set to approve a grant agreement with the Morgan Wallen Foundation. The baseball field is named after Morgan

Anne Hathaway has been named 2026’s Most Beautiful by People magazine. She says, “For decades — decades. I think I had the longest unbroken awkward phase in Hollywood. Actually, I think mine extended until my late 30s. Pretty sure I knew because I was inside of it. I mean, you have your normal awkward phase when you’re a teenager. I just didn’t feel like I could get comfortable anywhere, you know? I couldn’t quite find my footing. When I was a kid, I found talking really difficult. So I had a bit of stress and anxiety around just, like, communicating.”

TMZ says Madonna had her clothes go missing at Coachella this past weekend. She filed a police report over the missing garments. The vintage pieces she wore, including her jacket, corset and dress, vanished along with other items from the same era. Madonna says, “These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history.”

Dave Chappelle tells BroBible that he’s ready to bring back ‘’Chappelle’s Show’’ if Eddie Murphy takes over Charlie Murphy’s roles. “For the first time, I talked to him since Charlie had passed. I hadn’t seen him or really had an occasion to speak to Eddie about it. And in the midst of the conversation, he said I should do a Chappelle’s Show movie. And I said that would be tough. That’s your brother. So Eddie, if I do it, you do the Charlie parts. And let’s go.”
