Caught in a Web of Delay: Holland’s Injury Stalls Spider-Man Sequel

The Hollywood Reporter says Tom Holland is stepping away from shooting “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” due to a concussion suffered on set.  Sony is meeting to decide how to proceed with filming as Holland recovers. The movie is the follow-up to “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” and is set to be released in 2026.  The Daily Mail says Tom cracked his head during a fall.

The 28th season premiere of “The Voice” is tonight on NBC.  This season’s coaches are Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Michael Buble, and Niall Horan.  And host Carson Daly now has the power to save one contestant if no one turns their chair for them. Watch this sweet video.

It looks like Sabrina Carpenter is going to be busy in the near future. It was just announced that she will make her Grand Ole Opry debut on October 7th. he also just announced she’ll host “Saturday Night Live” for the first time on October 18th . . . and will headline Coachella next spring. So, if she’s playing the Grand Ole Opry . . . Does this mean she’s going to make a country album next?

Taylor Swift, the Queen of Marketing, is releasing a film in theaters to go along with her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl”. It’s called “Official Release Party of a Showgirl”, and it’s 89 minutes long.  It’ll be in theaters October 3rd through the 5th.  Tickets are on sale already, and they are $12 each, since, you know, it’s her 12th album. The film will include the world premiere of the music video for her new single, “The Fate of Ophelia”, plus behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the album, and lyric videos.

The Daily Record says Scotland’s Highland Wildlife Park has named a new wildcat kitten after Taylor Swift. Tay is a symbol of hope for the endangered wildcat species.  The zoo says, “They might be small, but Tay represents something much bigger and is a great ambassador for the species. Wildcats are a vital part of our natural and cultural heritage, and without urgent action we could lose them forever.’’

The National Enquirer says Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton are allegedly cutting ties with Morgan Wallen due to his ‘irresponsible’ and ‘immature’ actions. A source reveals, “They’ve tried to be there for Morgan, who has a track record for bad behavior, but Morgan isn’t listening to them. What they say goes in one ear and out the other. They’re tired of Morgan’s irresponsible, immature ways.”

Fox News says Matthew McConaughey believes his marriage improved after he and his wife  downsized to a queen-size bed. He says the smaller mattress made them prioritize closeness and gave them a better connection. 

Tyler Hubbard says that he couldn’t be more grateful and in love with his wife, Hayley, after a decade of marriage. “Happy birthday to my angel. You’re a true gift to everyone and I thank God I get to do life with you. Thanks for being such an amazing mother, wife, daughter, and friend. You shine bright in this world. I love you.”

ABC says Gary Busey was sentenced to two years probation for inappropriately touching a woman at a New Jersey horror convention. Busey did not speak during the virtual hearing.  The incident occurred during the Monster-Mania Convention in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Attendees reported his behavior to event organizers, who promptly removed him.

People magazine says Pamela Anderson is teaming up with her sons, Brandon and Dylan, to produce a TV reboot of her action film, ‘’Barb Wire.’’  The series will feature a new actress in the lead role of Barbara “Barb Wire” Kopetski.  The original film, released in 1996, earned Anderson a Golden Raspberry Award but later gained a cult following.
