Nominees for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards dropped yesterday, and Lady Gaga leads all nominees for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards with 12. She’s followed by Bruno Mars with 11 and Kendrick Lamar with 10. The show airs September 7th on CBS and MTV.
Stop the presses. One of the most famous blondes in all of country music is now a brunette. And no, it’s not Dolly Parton. That would be Earth shattering. Carrie Underwood has ditched her classic blonde hair, and is now a brunette. She said, “The last time I saw my natural hair color, I was probably about 12 years old . . . but I thought it might be time to give it a second chance.” (You can check out Carrie’s new hairstyle, here.)
Lainey Wilson was a special guest at a Mumford & Sons show in New Orleans recently. And they even performed Shania Twain’s famous song “Man! I Feel Like a Woman”.
Dolly Parton and her wine brand, Dolly Wines, just opened up shop at Assembly Food Hall in Nashville. So, if you ever wanted to celebrate Dolly in Music City, while getting a little tipsy, now you can. (You can check out pictures of Dolly Wines, here.) (You can listen to the video, here.)
There’s been talk of a “Stranger Things” spinoff series, and in a new interview, Finn Wolfhard gives us a vague idea of what we might be able to expect. He says it would probably be something like David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks”, and it wouldn’t even mention Hawkins, Indiana or the characters from the original series.
We keep getting teased with the possibility of a “Goonies” sequel, but so far, it hasn’t gotten the greenlight. Josh Brolin is down for a “Goonies” sequel, but he doesn’t want to do anything that’ll taint the memory of the original. Still, with Steven Spielberg involved, he doesn’t think that’s likely.
World of Reel says Leonardo DiCaprio is in talks to join the cast of “Heat 2”. The budget for the new Michael Mann sequel is currently $170 million. That’s down from his original budget of $200 million
Page Six says Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were recently seen house hunting in Cleveland. The couple visited upscale homes in Northeast Ohio/
Shaquille O’Neal’s Regrettable NFL Bet: BroBible says NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal recently bet on the Dallas Cowboys to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 of the NFL season. If the Cowboys lose, Shaq must wear a dress in front of his Vegas restaurant. The Cowboys are huge underdogs but Shaq’s faith in his team is unwavering.
Russell Dickerson was recently doing an interview with Country Living magazine when he said campfire evenings with his family are becoming core Summer memories. “So we got the Hershey’s bars, we got the grams, we got the mallows, and we just sat up there and had a little evening camp sesh. We carry around our little portable fire pit on the bus and they know that if there’s fire, there’s s’mores.”
Radar Online claims Demi Moore is allegedly pushing for Bruce Willis to receive an honorary Oscar to honor his legacy. A source says, “Everybody knows how badly Demi wants a competitive Oscar of her own, and she’s not giving up after the near-miss with last year’s The Substance. But she’s also been waging a shadow campaign for the Oscars to recognize Bruce with an honorary award while he can still stand up and accept it. She and his daughters feel Bruce’s contribution to modern cinema is undeniable. Everybody knows Bruce is overdue, and at some point, it will be too late. Demi has made getting Bruce an honorary Oscar her mission, but the Academy is a huge organization with its own agenda. But she is not going to let them forget about Bruce and his legacy.”
Scotty McCreery tells Country Living magazine that cooking has become a passion and a way to explore his roots. “I do love to cook. I keep the cast iron out in the kitchen… I’ve started to be like, ‘You know, let me try this and try that.’ My wife’s family is all from Louisiana… they’ve got a whole nother style of cooking down there that I like to try as well.”
Sam Hunt tells People magazine that bringing his family on tour has opened up new routines and experiences. “I go to bed earlier, I get up earlier, it gives me a lot more to do during the day… I go out and do things that I wouldn’t necessarily – museums and parks – it’s been a treat.”
Radar Online says Jennifer Aniston is allegedly spending a fortune on her new boyfriend, hypnotist Jim Curtis. A source says, “Jim’s confident and driven, but he doesn’t have much money and definitely isn’t operating on Jen’s level, so she’s covering the costs. She’s always been generous in her relationships, and this time is no exception. She’s been hoping for a relationship like this for years, and she’s not going to let finances become an issue. She feels he offers so much in other ways – he’s attractive, mature, and mentally stimulating – and to her, that’s priceless.”
Newsbreak says Tom Cruise will allegedly make Ana de Armas sign a prenup before they get married. A source says, “He’s a control freak and micromanages every detail of his life. Anyone close to him always has loads of paperwork to sign as far as NDAs and that sort of thing, but marriage takes it to a new level. The plan is to have it ready before he even pops the question. Once she says yes, the paperwork is right there — ready to go. He expects her to sign it without any drama, so that it’s out of the way before they even announce the engagement. He’s crazy about Ana, but he’s been burned before and feels the need to protect himself.”
The Star says Ana de Armas is ready to make Tom Cruise happier than his past exes. An insider reveals, “Ana’s familiar with Tom’s history but it doesn’t worry her. It actually annoys her that people judge Tom by his exes, and she’s confident she’ll be able to keep him happier than they did.”
Newsweek magazine says Randy Orton and Jelly Roll might collaborate on a new version of Orton’s theme song, “Voices.” The country music star pitched the idea backstage at SummerSlam. Many believe Orton will bring the idea to WWE management.
Taylor Kitsch tells NBC that he once had an unfortunate incident before an audition. “I was in L.A. living out of my car and I would get all these crazy auditions, like four in a day, and I needed a strong coffee,” he explained. “And I’m having it driving to the audition. I’m sitting in the waiting room just like this, and I crapped myself. No joke. And the bathroom door is right there. And I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’ I threw my underwear in the garbage can, came back out and waited and did not get the job”
RadarOnline.com says Reese Witherspoon and boyfriend Oliver Haarman are allegedly considering living together in New York after a romantic yacht vacation. A source says, “They’ve talked about cohabitating in New York. She’d like to have a home base there as opposed to just meeting up in hotels. Reese never expected to feel this way again, but she’s embracing it. She might even be open to marriage again. She doesn’t know what’s in store for them, and is eager to find out.”
The Star says Hugh Jackman is convinced Sutton Foster is his “soulmate” and allegedly sees no need for a prenup if they wed. A close source reveals, , “Hugh will be making things official. He doesn’t want or need a prenup — his rationale is that anything they make together would be a 50-50 split, and he’ll hold onto what he had before. Eschewing a prenup shows they’re equal partners even if they don’t have equal bank accounts. Sutton knows she’s lucky and feels like this shows Hugh believes in the true meaning of marriage.”
