Brad Paisley’s “Extra Innings Curse” Haunts the World Series Again

Here’s a fun fact: Monday’s marathon baseball game was only the second time in history the World Series has gone to 18 innings.  And Brad Paisley sang before both games. And now Brad is calling himself “Mr. More Baseball”. But those aren’t the only World Series Brad has sung for.  He also sang in 2017 and last year.  And both of those games went to extras, too!  In 2017, the game ended in the 11th . . . and last year it ended in the 10th. (The final score of last night’s game was 6 to 1.  The Blue Jays now lead the Dodgers 3 games to 2.  Game 6 takes place Halloween night in Toronto.)

Kenny Chesney is going back to the Sphere next year . . . but he’s not bringing the same old show.  This time, he’s shaking it up. The Sphere’s high-tech setup gives Kenny a chance to play songs that don’t usually make it into his bigger sets. Kenny’s Sphere dates for next year are set for June. 

Peloton members get a special treat this Halloween.  There are three official “Friday the 13th”-themed classes currently available, where users pedal to survive Jason Voorhees and Camp Crystal Lake. It’s a 30-minute bike ride, a 30-minute bootcamp, and a 10-minute meditation.  The meditation focuses on “breathing techniques, facing your demons and finding calm in scary times.”  

The Streamable says Netflix is introducing real-time voting for live programming. Subscribers can vote for their favorite contestants during live competition shows like the upcoming reboot of “Star Search.” 

With Halloween here, Matthew Perry’s sister Caitlin tells Variety magazine that she feels his presence on a daily basis. “I feel him around a lot, and I can hear the things that he would say in response to the things that are going on as if he’s actually here saying them. Maybe he is. I don’t know. Who knows? Maybe ghosts are real.”

Radar Online says Jennifer Aniston’s relationship with boyfriend Jim Curtis is allegedly facing challenges due to her expensive tastes. An insider says, “Jen is going to keep living the way she has since the ’90s. She’s 56 and she figures she’s earned the right to a huge house, a big staff, and endless ways to capitalize on her global fame to keep the money rolling in. But she and Jim are from totally different worlds. Even the idea of a full-time assistant is a tough concept for somebody as self-reliant as Jim.”

RadarOnline.com says Eddie Murphy’s upcoming Pink Panther film will have his bumbling detective character solving a Louvre robbery. The movie will see Murphy’s Inspector Clouseau investigating a daring heist of priceless gems. French police recently arrested two suspects after the real-life Louvre heist took place. 

OK! Magazine says Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell, will serve prison time for violating the probation terms of her drug case. Chelsea had not shown any progress in drug treatment, leading to her removal from the program. She is facing a possible transfer to a medium-security prison in Wisconsin. 

The Globe says Elizabeth Hurley is allegedly eager to marry Billy Ray Cyrus.   A source reveals, “Billy Ray says he’s found his soulmate in Liz and she seems to feel the same way because she’s the one pushing for the wedding to happen as soon as possible. Liz has a wild streak and loves the idea of shocking everyone with a surprise wedding. She’s telling people she’s never been happier, and Billy Ray feels the same. They both believe that when something feels this right, there’s no point in waiting. He still marvels that Liz would even want him in that state, he was such a mess. He says she is like an angel who came into his life and saved him.”

The News International says Tom Cruise is allegedly blaming Ana de Armas for their recent split.  A source says, “Tom’s telling people Ana wasn’t up to his standards and he’s the one who pulled the plug. He is now looking for someone with more charisma and life experience. It’s a complete 180 in terms of how he was talking about her just a few weeks ago, when she could do no wrong and this ultimate dream gal who walked on water. He is unable to “wrap his head around the idea that  Ana didn’t want him as a life partner.”

The Blast says Lori Loughlin’s ex-husband, Mossimo Giannulli, allegedly felt uneasy about her friendship with John Stamos. A source says, “They’ve always had incredible chemistry. But Mossimo never believed it was just acting. He thought John’s charm didn’t stop when the cameras did.  Lori would light up when John walked in. Mossimo would shut down. He saw John as competition — not Uncle Jesse.”

The National Enquirer says Katy Perry is being criticized for throwing a birthday cake at a crew member during her tour. A video shows it landing on the floor.  Perry’s backup dancers were seen eating the dessert off the ground. While some fans defended Perry, others expressed disappointment at the waste and lack of respect shown towards the baker. The baker’s daughter allegedly posted, “My mom was the one that baked this cake, she was so excited about the opportunity to make a cake for Katy Perry and spent so long on it, im genuinely confused and upset as to why she would do this’’

The Toronto Sun says Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have a strong connection. A friend says, “This relationship is already fairly serious and definitely moving in that direction.  “Dating Justin is something she never saw coming, but she’s really enjoying this surprising life twist. They both have busy schedules but make time for each other and have a really strong connection. Katy didn’t expect to fall for somebody so soon, but Justin checks all the boxes. He has a great sense of humour, he’s charming and treats her with respect. He is crazy about her and thinks she is the perfect woman. They are simpatico on everything including politics, kids and French food … They both have a sparkle for each other.”

Megan Moroney tells Rolling Stone magazine that she learned music at home from family. “I grew up playing guitar with my dad and my brother. They taught me how to play guitar.”

Hudson Westbrook tells CMT that despite his rise he still misses everyday family moments. “After a while I miss my family… having free time… and seeing my grandma, my mom and going to football games.”

Zach Top was recently doing an interview with CountryNow.com when he said his family band inspired his path into music. “We had a family band back when I was a kid. The fun and excitement I felt back then is what drove me to be a performer.”

Radar Online says Kelsea Ballerini is staying positive after her split from Chase Stokes. A source says, “She’s staying positive and determined to be true to herself and not fall down the spiral of feeling sorry for herself. She’s sad it didn’t work out with Chase, but she’s been blessed with such a strong support network. Friends are telling her that she’ll find the right man in time. She realized in hindsight Chase wasn’t a match, and she’s better off with a guy from her own world – a plain, old-fashioned country gentleman, a guy less full of himself and not bound by the fake world of Hollywood. Chase is a cool enough guy, but a little too career-driven for Kelsea. She needs someone more low-key and not drawn by superficial stuff. OK! Magazine says Keith Urban’s “fiery” temper has allegedly caused a divide with his daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. A source says, “They love their dad, but Nicole’s been the constant. She’s been there for every school event, every bedtime. Keith’s been touring, filming — gone. 

Parmalee star Matt Thomas tells SongwriterUniverse.com that his father got them started in the music business. “Me and my brother Scott and our first cousin, Barry, grew up around music, with my dad being in a band. We got the music bug when we were kids, and we wanted to play. So we started messin’ around and eventually ended up in the band with my dad, and he groomed us and got us going. “
