The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards kicked off with a bang last night, thanks to the saxophonic stylings of . . . KENNY G. That’s right, Kenny G was the first performer to hit the VMA stage in 2025 . . . but only because he was part of Doja Cat’s performance. Another highlight was the tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, featuring Yungblud, guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, and Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith. Blake Shelton’s brand-new competition series “The Road” premieres next month on CBS, and Blake just revealed some more star power joining him for season one. Dustin Lynch . . . Karen Fairchild . . . Jordan Davis . . . and Brothers Osborne will be guest mentors. They’ll work with the show’s 12 contestants as they chase a record deal and a $250,000 prize. Gretchen Wilson will serve as the on-the-road tour manager, and the contestants will open for Keith Urban at real venues across the country. Blake admits he didn’t jump at the idea of doing another singing competition. But pairing up with “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan was too good to pass up.

Patrick Schwarzenegger got married. Patrick Schwarzenegger and Abby Champion have said “I do!”The couple, who got engaged in December 2023, tied the knot in an outdoor wedding ceremony on Sept. 6. Among those in attendance were Patrick’s parents, dad Arnold Schwarzenegger and mom Maria Shriver, plus sister Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt and her husband Chris Pratt.

RadarOnline says Garth Brooks is allegedly causing a kitchen war with wife Trisha Yearwood over his bossy and critical behavior while cooking. An insider says, “She just humors him when he makes something that he’s really proud of, but he’s getting in her way more and more these days and picking on her dishes, saying they need this and that, which she finds insulting.’’

Music Row magazine says Shaboozey is performing a new song and show open for Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football. The track, “Let ‘Em Know,” will debut during the Green Bay Packers – Washington Commanders game this Thursday

Jelly Roll was doing a recent interview for Billboard magazine when he said the notion of wrestling being fake couldn’t be further from reality. “The physicality — it’s… man, listen, man. That ‘wrestling is fake’ stuff has got to go out the door. There’s no fake way to land on a piece of plywood in front of 60,000 people … I broke my pinky in week one of training — by accident. That thing is a constant collision, dude.”

FOX Business News says Lainey Wilson recently unveiled her Nashville home. She has an Elvis-inspired Jungle Room and a bar with personalized beer taps. The taps serve Blue Moon for Lainey and Coors Light for her fiancee Duck. Her main staircase has a piece of the original Grand Ole Opry flooring.

Riley Green tells Billboard magazine that he loves older cars including his 1988 Chrysler LeBaron. “I get on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist and when I’m traveling, you can find deals. When I’m in a certain town, I’ll find something and if I think it’s a good deal, I’ll buy it and ship it home, work on it a little bit. I went and bought this LeBaron…wood panel siding on it. I’ve got two of those now. But I paid $3,000 for that car, and I remember driving it back to the venue and all my buddies were like, ‘Man, you’re just wastin’ money, it’s a piece of junk.’ … I think a Kid Rock song came on or something and I was ridin’ through these cornfields going back to the venue and I said, ‘This was worth $3,000, just this moment’. I finally got somebody to haul it to Nashville and we got it fixed and it’s still at my house. I love buyin’ old vehicles like that.”

The National Enquirer says Jennifer Lopez is allegedly contemplating a move away from Hollywood to escape the negativity surrounding her post-divorce life.  An insider discloses, “She’s always had this fantasy of getting away from it all and living a quiet life somewhere totally off the map, like Bali or even a small town in Italy. No one has ever taken her seriously because she always talks about it as this sort of bucket list thing she wants to check off ‘one day,’ versus really wanting to do it ‘now.’ She’s been so beaten down the last couple of years. Her split from ex-husband Ben Affleck is at the heart of it.”

Naughty but Nice says Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez are allegedly in serious talks for a joint tour. A music exec discloses,  “It sounds crazy, but the industry is shifting. Alone, legacy acts struggle to fill arenas. Together? Instant must-see. Mariah brings the voice, Jennifer brings the dancing. Put them together, and you get fireworks. Fans want two icons for one ticket. Don’t be shocked if you see them on the same poster next summer.”

Radar Online says Jennifer Aniston’s new partner, hypnotherapist Jim Curtis, is allegedly pushing her to invest millions in his wellness business. A source says, “Jennifer is completely smitten, but people close to her worry that Jim has his eye on her money. Jim has been talking about big business ideas, wellness retreats, and investment opportunities. She’s incredibly generous and supportive, which makes her vulnerable.”

Deuxmoi says Glen Powell and Lori Loughlin’s daughter, Olivia Jade, were recently seen twice together in NYC. They had dinner at Il Cantinori with Lori. Later, they were spotted at a bar, leaving together at 2 a.m. Witnesses suggest a potential new romance is brewing.

Radar Online claims Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas are allegedly house-hunting together in the U.K. A source says, “It’s only been a few months, but Tom moves fast. When he wants something, he wants it now. He sees no reason to wait to move in together and he’s clearly convinced Ana of the same thing. He’s totally swept her off her feet with the grand romantic gestures. She’s in awe of him. Finding a place to live together is further proof this is the real deal, to them at least. Ana is still very connected to the States and doesn’t want to give that up. She’s got her place in Vermont, which she loves. Tom’s been up there with her and really likes it, but it’s not going to be their only base. He wants something grander in the U.K., maybe a country estate, something that feels expansive and permanent. The townhouse setup he has in London now is good for a place in the city, but he wants something bigger where he and Ana can potentially raise kids.”

Geo TV says Timothee Chalamet has allegedly distanced himself from Kylie Jenner without explanation. A source says, “This past couple of weeks, he’s really pulled away, seemingly avoiding public outings with her, leaving Kylie in a state of panic. While he hasn’t explicitly said anything, she’s getting the distinct vibe that those around him are hinting their relationship could hurt his shining star status. Some of Timothée’s pals didn’t think it was smart to get involved with the Kardashian clan. They sat him down and expressed their fears that despite his many awards and nominations, the industry wouldn’t take him seriously if he was linked to Kylie.”
