A rare Black Moon is coming. A Black Moon, the third new moon out of four in a season, will grace the night sky on August 22nd.  The rest of the world will see it after midnight on August 23rd. Black Moons occur every 33 months, with the next one predicted for August 20th, 2028. 

Mug Root Beer has hired the winner of the 2025 World’s Ugliest Dog Contest, Petunia, to be its new spokesperson. The hairless English-French Bulldog mix will be featured on limited-edition cans.  The cans aim to increase adoption of unique dogs.

A Harvard professor believes an unknown flying object is heading towards Earth. It may be an alien spacecraft and could arrive in 115 days. The object is traveling at 135,000 miles per hour . NASA says it will pass at a safe distance.

A study found gossiping WITH your significant other can improve your relationship.  Couples that gossip together tend to have better relationships overall because it reinforces the idea that you’re “on the same team.”
