— On this date in 2013, Burger King launched a low-cal French fry. The new crinkle-cut fry had 20% fewer calories than regular fries. The fries were called “Satisfries” and contained a batter that didn’t absorb as much oil as regular fries.(They last less than a year)

Spirit Halloween stores have released their top costume trends for 2025. The top costumes include K-pop, demons, Marvel superheroes, “Squid Game” characters and “Wicked: For Good”.

Scientists believe we may have received a signal from a parallel universe through a wormhole. The signal, known as GW190521, was unusual because it was abrupt and didn’t follow the typical pattern of black hole collisions. Researchers theorize that the signal could have come from a wormhole connecting universes.

A Guinness World Record was broken in New Jersey when 2,358 people all played catch together. 

Someone looked back at dating advice from a poet in Ancient Rome named Ovid.  And some of it still rings true today.  Here are three dating tips from 2,000 years ago that still apply.
1.  You have to make an effort.  Ovid told men they shouldn’t expect their soulmate to just magically appear.  You have to put yourself out there.  Quote, “[She] will not come floating down to you through the tenuous air.  She must be sought.”
2.  You probably won’t find them at a bar.  He also said you won’t choose the right person if you’re DRUNK.
3.  Don’t look like a slob.  Quote, “Do not let your nails project, and let them be free of dirt.  Nor let any hair be in the hollow of your NOSTRILS.  [And] let not the breath of your mouth be sour and unpleasing.”  In other words, brush your teeth, cut your nails, and pluck those nose hairs. 

Disney has announced a price hike for select Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN streaming plans and bundles. The monthly cost for Disney+ plans with ads will go up by $2 to $11.9 a month, while no-ad plans will increase by $3 to $18.99 a month.
