Rob Reiner Latest: The National Enquirer says Rob Reiner’s son Nick was a “ticking time bomb” before allegedly killing his parents. A guest left their home due to Nick’s behavior. A source says, “They literally fled because they felt so uncomfortable being around the son they had no choice but to get out of there. They made the right decision to leave because they could have been killed too.” TMZ says Nick checked into a Santa Monica hotel and left a blood-filled room after allegedly murdering his parents. LAPD detectives found the room covered in blood. Nick was later arrested in downtown Los Angeles. TMZ says Rob had a heated argument with Nick at Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party the night before he was murdered. Witnesses reported the argument was loud. Rob and wife Michele left the event. A source tells the Enquirer, “Many people who saw them at the party felt exactly the same way it was clearly a major problem. There’s no question from the family or close friends it was the son who killed them.” Naughty But Nice says Conan is allegedly wracked with guilt after the tragic murders of Rob and Michele Reiner. A source reveals Conan blames himself for not intervening in a heated argument at his Christmas party before the tragedy. A source says, “He keeps thinking, ‘What if I had stepped in? What if I’d pulled Rob aside or shut it down?’ He feels like maybe he could have changed the course of what happened. Conan is replaying every detail in his mind. He’s wracked with guilt and keeps wondering if anything he did—or didn’t do—could have made a difference.” Page Six says Rob Reiner’s son, Nick, battled drug addiction before being named as a person of interest in his parents’ fatal stabbing. Nick, who spent time on the streets after refusing rehab, co-wrote a film about his struggles. The tragic incident unfolded in the Reiner’s Brentwood, California home. Page Six says Rob made a chilling comment about loving all his children, even the bad ones, before he was allegedly stabbed to death by his son, Nick. Page Six says Nick once destroyed his parents’ home in a drug-fueled rage. Nick admitted to getting high and going on a violent outburst in their guest house, punching items like a TV and a lamp. Distractify says Rob’s net worth at the time of his death was $200 million. (In a 2018 interview, Nick recalled the time he was high on uppers and he wrecked his parents’ guest house.)
One half of the ultimate soap opera couple, Luke & Laura from “General Hospital” ,Anthony Geary, died Sunday of complications from a scheduled surgery in Amsterdam. He was 78. Geary signed on for 13 weeks, and Luke, a hitman with ties to the mob, made his first appearance on G.H. on Nov. 20, 1978, reuniting with his younger sister, Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman), with whom he was raised in a Florida brothel. When that contract expired, he signed another one for six months. The most-watched soap episode of all time — and one of the most memorable moments in TV history — attracted 30 million viewers, featured Elizabeth Taylor as the villainess Helena Cassadine and inspired Princess Diana (who had own famous wedding four months earlier) to send the actors champagne.
Deadline Hollywood says CBS will air the second part of the “Everybody Loves Raymond” 30th Anniversary Reunion special on December 22nd. The special will include never-before-seen footage, pre-taped interviews, classic clips, and outtakes. Ray Romano and Phil Rosenthal filmed new commentary.
Radar Online says Mariah Carey is allegedly stressed because her Christmas classic, “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, may not dominate the charts this year due to Gen Z’ers favoring other artists. A music insider says, “This is how she makes her money now. If the song underperforms, the whole brand wobbles. Christmas is her Super Bowl. If she loses this, what’s left?”
Blake Shelton was doing an interview for a recent edition of People magazine when he said his wife Gwen Stefani is the head chef in their household. “Gwen mostly cooks, Man, she’s really good at anything Italian. But my favorite is probably lasagna. That’s one of those things it takes her all day, like, it’s an all day thing, you know? And I would eat that for the rest of my life.”
Jason Bateman learned a life-changing lesson about being a good person from Ron Howard.
The Daily Express says “General Hospital” star Anthony Geary has passed away at age 78 due to complications from an operation in Amsterdam. Geary is remembered for his iconic role as Luke Spencer on the long-running soap opera. Fans are expressing their sadness and sending prayers to his family for their loss. Tony’s love interest from ‘’General Hospital’’, Genie Francis, tells Us Weekly, “No star burned brighter than Tony Geary. He was one of a kind. Working with him was always exciting. You never knew what might happen. I will miss him terribly, but I was so lucky to be his partner.’’
Megan Moroney tells CountryNow.com that her favorite Christmas Eve tradition includes watching a classic movie with her family. “I think my favorite Christmas tradition is Christmas Eve. My whole family and I, my dad makes us watch It’s a Wonderful Life, the black-and-white version, every single year, and he makes chocolate chip cookies.”
Jason Aldean tells CMT that being present with his family often means sacrificing time out hunting or on the road. “When I am at home, I don’t hang out much. I spend time with my family. I may sneak out to hunt from time to time, but for the most part, I am there with my family giving them my undivided attention.”
RadarOnline.com claims Jennifer Aniston is allegedly considering moving to NYC for boyfriend Jim Curtis. A source says, “Jen has said for years that her biggest mistake in relationships has been trying to change herself to fit what the man wants. She’s done so much work on that issue and yet here she is, about to do it again and change her life drastically on a whim to suit Jim. This sudden plan to get a place in New York is so out of left field, and it’s really raised serious concern among her close friends because it’s genuinely out of character. She tried doing it when she was with Justin, because New York is his favorite city, but it was not good for her. The feeling among her inner circle is that this is a mistake because she’s putting his needs above her own.”
The News International says Nicole Kidman is allegedly seeking steamier roles following her divorce from Keith Urban. A source says, “Keith made it clear he wasn’t comfortable with the sexual side of her projects, even if he never said outright she should stop working. He worried about how it looked, and he hated the idea of other men touching her, even if it was acting. Nicole kept trying to reassure him, but it got exhausting. The fact that she’s still playing complex, sensual women in their 50s is something to be celebrated and she needs a partner who recognizes that and is man enough to handle it. This approach is working for her and she’s not going to let anybody rain on her parade or stop her from using her voice and her body in unexpected ways. If anything, the end of her marriage to Keith means there are even fewer limits on what she is willing to do for the sake of a juicy role, and she still wants nothing more than to keep topping herself.”
Page Six says Amy Schumer is allegedly choosing to live with her estranged husband Chris Fischer so they can co-parent their son. A source says, “She expects that they’ll co-parent full-time together and that he’ll see Gene almost as much as he does now — if not more. They are still largely under the same roof, for the kid’s sake. She wants them to continue to be very much united when it comes to raising their son. Amy wants Chris to stick around for Gene … If she contemplates another comedy tour at any point in the future, she wants Chris to be the one looking after Gene and ideally be willing to travel with her. She just never wants to be romantically involved with him again.”
Wide Open Country says Riley Green had a hilarious reaction to a fan after she threw leopard print granny panties on stage at him. Green managed to keep his composure and continue with his set despite the unexpected moment. His tour crew has begun collecting the various items thrown on stage by fans. They include bras and hair extensions. Green says, “We were putting them in a big bin, and we were gonna donate them to wherever you donate bras to, I guess. Because what I learned, there was there was like people commenting saying that they were really expensive. I didn’t know that.”
The National Enquirer says Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have allegedly been secretly hooking up amid their separation. A source tells the tabloid, “A lot of people have noticed a thaw between them. When they’re together Eric is like a puppy dog, it’s so obvious he regrets ever letting her slip through his fingers. He’s always saying she’s the best thing that ever happened to him, so it’s no secret he wants another chance. Before when she’d talk about their split, she’d practically turn red with rage and blame it all on him, but now she’s started to say it takes two to tango.”
George Birge tells People magazine that family time is precious when his career takes him away. “My wife is great about always sending little videos of the boys and stuff. But when I am home with the family, our time is super intentional. It fuels my soul when I’m home with the family because we know that the time we have together is short every week.”
