The new season of “The Bachelorette” is over before it began. ABC has pulled the plug, after a horrifying video emerged of star Taylor Frankie Paul attacking her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. The video shows Taylor viciously assaulting Dakota, then throwing several METAL CHAIRS at him, while her then-5-year-old daughter Indy was in the room. At one point, Dakota even says Indy was hit by one of the chairs. You don’t see that happening, but you can hear Indy crying. The incident led to Taylor being arrested. She ended up pleading guilty to a third-degree felony charge of aggravated assault, which would be reduced to a misdemeanor if she successfully completed the terms of her probation. After TMZ posted the video, Taylor’s rep said that it, quote, “conveniently omits context . . . [and] is a reprehensible attempt to distract from [Dakota’s] own behavior.” As for the cancellation of “The Bachelorette”, the rep said Taylor is, quote, “very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security.” The new season was supposed to premiere this coming Sunday. “Variety” says the cancellation could cost ABC tens of millions of dollars. Taylor’s other show, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”, is also in limbo due to her behavior. Hulu paused production in the midst of filming Season 5. Taylor and Dakota have a son together named Ever. Yesterday was his 2nd birthday. Dakota is seeking full custody, and a protective order against Taylor. He claims she assaulted him as recently as this past February. (WARNING: You can watch the video here. But maybe skip it if you’re sensitive to scenes of domestic violence.)

I don’t know whose responsibility Shia LaBeouf is, but that person needs to step it up FAST . . . because he’s out there flailing. On Friday night, Shia found himself in a shouting match with police in New Orleans. At one point he was reduced to TEARS. Then video surfaced from his recent trip to Rome, in which he can be seen screaming at a woman to “[Eff] off” at an outdoor café . . . then pacing the sidewalk yelling. Maybe at that same woman, or maybe at no one. How can you tell with this guy? It’s crystal clear that Shia NEEDS HELP. At this point, I think it would be an improvement to put him in a conservatorship run by Britney Spears.
