Ella Langley is on top of the music world.  This week, “Choosin’ Texas” rose to #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100.  This makes Ella just the seventh woman in history to top the all-genre chart with a country song.  That elite list includes Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, Jeannie C. Riley . . . and Beyoncé. On top of that, Ella is now the first female artist ever to hold the #1 spots on the Hot Country Songs chart, Country Airplay, and the Hot 100 at the same time. The song was released back on October 7th, and it has been on a tear ever since.  “Choosin’ Texas” also became the fastest solo female song to hit the Top 10 on country radio this decade.

Savannah Guthrie posted a new video yesterday hoping that someone in the public knows something that could help in the search for her mother. According to a ransom note, Savannah Guthrie’s family was supposed to pay her mother’s alleged abductors $4 million in Bitcoin if paid by Feb 5, which would increase to $6 million if not paid.  It doesn’t appear that they did so. The ransom note was sent to a pair of Arizona TV stations.

The Irish Mirror says Catherine O’Hara’s official cause of death was pulmonary embolism with rectal cancer as the underlying issue. O’Hara, known for being the Home Alone Mom, passed away following a medical emergency in Los Angeles.

Retail Dive says Eddie Bauer has filed for bankruptcy. They are closing all 175 locations.  The brand’s e-commerce and wholesale operations are not affected by the Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Sales declines, supply chain issues, and tariff uncertainty contributed to the filing.

Morgan Wallen tells People magazine that he enjoys seeing his son’s strong personality show up in everyday moments. “He’s got a little sass. He doesn’t take any guff. I like that spunk.”

Shaboozey tells Billboard magazine that he enjoys a good campfire with friends. “I love the city, but I also love sitting in a field by a campfire surrounded by my friends. I’m just as happy sitting outside with friends and food as I am anywhere else.”

Jelly Roll was doing an interview for a recent edition of People magazine when he said he enjoys quiet moments at home more than big events these days. “My favorite nights are just hanging out with my family. Iconic Auctioneers says Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission Impossible’ Jeep, used in the 2025 film “The Final Reckoning,” is being auctioned off. It is expected to fetch between $34,159 and $68,320. Cruise drove the Wrangler Rubicon which has safety features like a roll cage and fire suppression system.

The News International says Kaley Cuoco’s fiancé, Tom Pelphrey, sleeps in a separate room due to their different schedules. She says, “He writes at night. He reads, It’s his quiet time. So he’s up late and wakes up late on a non-working day. We established this from day one. I go to bed early, and I wake up early. We’re totally on different sleeping schedules. New Idea magazine says Barry Williams, famous for playing Greg Brady on “The Brady Bunch”, is definitely interested in reuniting with his former castmates for a reboot. He says, “One of our producers, Lloyd J. Schwartz, says, ‘The Brady Bunch is a lot of things, dead isn’t one of them’. There’s always talk and things, it’s just trying to find the right timing. Lindsey Vonn hoped to be the Cinderella story of the Winter Olympics, but boy did it not turn out that way.  Lindsey Vonn’s Olympic comeback at the age of 41 ended in tragedy.  Lindsey crashed during the women’s downhill yesterday and broke her leg.  She was already competing with a torn ACL. She was hoping to win the women’s downhill at the age of 41.  But last week, she crashed at the World Cup in Switzerland, suffering a ruptured ACL, a bone bruise, and meniscus damage.  She decided to compete in the Olympics anyway, and it turned out to be a bad decision.  Lindsey crashed yesterday and broke her leg, and had to be flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital. In a bittersweet moment, Vonn’s teammate Breezy Johnson won the women’s downhill, becoming the first American woman to take the gold since Vonn did it 16 years ago.

The NY Post says Tom Brady and Alix Earle were caught dancing together at a Super Bowl party. The cozy interaction follows their previous chat at a yacht party in St. Barts on New Year’s Eve. It remains unclear if their connection is just friendly or something more.

The price of a 30-second Super Bowl ad has hit an all-time high of $10 million.  NBC says they charged an average of $8 million, but a “handful” of slots were sold for more than $10 million. The NY Post says two comic books, a Batman No. 1 and a Superman No. 1, that originally sold for 10 cents, fetched $13 million at an auction. The Batman issue, from 1940, featuring the Joker and Catwoman, sold for $6 million. The Mile High pedigree Superman No. 1, published in 1939, sold for $7 million.

Ransom Note Demands $6 Million For Savannah Guthrie’s Mom: The Daily Mail says tormentors are demanding $6 million in Bitcoin for the safe return of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie. She went missing from her home in Tucson. The culprits have ordered the funds to be delivered by 5 pm today local time. They are threatening Nancy’s life if the ransom isn’t paid.

3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold died Saturday, after a battle with stage 4 kidney cancer.  He was only 47 years old. Greg Brown, the founding guitarist of Cake, also passed away, after what his former band called a “brief illness.” Fred Smith, bassist for the band Television, died last week after a “long and hard battle with an unspecified illness. And Lil Jon’s 27-year-old son Nathan Smith was found dead in a pond near his home in Georgia.  He’d been missing since last Tuesday.

Couple Marries During Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show: NBC says a couple did in fact get married during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance. The ceremony took place on stage in Spanish. Bad Bunny signed the marriage license as a witness. The couple had previously invited Bad Bunny to their wedding.

The News International says Keith Urban is allegedly regretting his divorce from Nicole Kidman. A source says, “Nicole has been putting on a brave face, but everyone close to her knows she still loves Keith and misses him. He’s done a real 180 the last few weeks and has started saying how much he regrets the breakup.’’

According to “Us Weekly”, Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes ended things . . . again. This comes only weeks after confirming they were back together.  So, in case you’re keeping score, this is their THIRD official breakup.

The NY Post says NBC announcer Mike Tirico mistakenly called Adam Sandler a Patriots fan during last night’s Super Bowl despite Sandler being a lifelong Jets supporter. Social media speculated about Sandler’s allegiance as he was shown wearing a hat with logos from both teams.  Sandler has previously expressed his love for the Jets, even during tough times for the team.

Radar Online claims Jennifer Aniston’s alleged stalker has been released from prison after crashing into her Bel Air mansion. Aniston has been living in fear ever since the incident, with increased security measures in place to protect her. Jimmy Carwyle, who harbored delusions about being married to Aniston, had been contacting her for two years.

Adam Sandler tells The News International that the viral Chanel store video involving his daughter Sadie is “100 percent insane and made-up.”  An AI video shows Sadie going into a store before a Chanel clerk humiliates her because she thinks she cannot afford any of the handbags. The video then shows Adam going in and buying $312,000 worth of Chanel bags. He says, ”I saw it, and it’s just insane. It’s just this made-up, weird thing that people ask me about. And I’m just like, ‘I’ve never heard of this in my life.’ That story was 100 percent insane and made-up, and not a word of it is true. But there’s also some story I heard about me going to an In-N-Out Burger at midnight and getting a bunch of Double-Doubles, and I have to say, that story is true. So that one’s true. Lil Jon expressed immense heartbreak, describing Nathan Smith as kind and immensely talented. “He was an amazingly talented young man; a music producer, an artist and engineer, and graduate of NYU. We loved Nathan with all of our hearts and are incredibly proud of him. TMZ says Snoop Dogg carried the Olympic torch yesterday in Gallarate, Italy. The rapper danced to his own music while representing the U.S. He previously did the same thing at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.  Snoop’s little granddaughter passed away…she was only 10 months old. She was born prematurely, at 25 weeks, and was finally able to leave the hospital 3 weeks ago….

Five years after his exit from “The Bachelor”, original host Chris Harrison is back with a new dating show for people seeking a “traditional” marriage. The show is seeking contestants who want a traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.

Luke Combs might not be famous today if he hadn’t spent his last $200 in his bank account to master his recording of “Hurricane”. At the time, he’d recorded multiple songs, but could only afford to master one. decided to do “Hurricane” and it sold 10,000 copies the first week. Luke Combs tells CountryNow.com that he lives an “oddly normal life” off stage. “I live an oddly normal life, to be honest…and that’s the way I want it to be. Whatever the persona is, is just who I am. So it’s easy to just be myself and that’s what I always wanted. I didn’t want to have to pretend to be anything I’m not.”

Dylan Scott was doing a recent interview for Southern Living magazine when he said he’s thankful for the work ethic his father taught him. “I’m thankful for Dad teaching me the hard work aspect of life because people don’t understand. They think it’s all just glam and glory out here. Traveling around on a bus and go play a show, but there is a lot of, there’s a lot of work. There’s a lot of time spent away from your family.”

Jill married William in February 1970, when he was 23 and she was a student at the University of Delaware. In 1974 Jill and Bill separated and went through a nasty divorce. Joe Biden married Jill a couple years later in June 1977, when he was a senator from Delaware.

The latest revival of “Mystery Science Theater 3000” is off to a strong start. A Kickstarter campaign for new episodes featuring the return of Mike Nelson raised over $1 million in a single day. The new episodes will shoot later this year in Minneapolis, MN. The four movies that will be featured in the new episodes will be revealed over the course of this campaign, which runs through March 16.

We’ve seen several Super Bowl commercials already, but yesterday, Comcast Xfinity blew them all out of the water. Their ad features Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum in an ad about “Jurassic Park” . . . and how things could have gone a lot differently. Remember the scene where Samuel L. Jackson announces that the park has gone offline, and everything goes haywire from there?  Well, in this version, an Xfinity tech is on the scene, and he fixes it, no problem.  And from there, everything just works, and Jurassic Park becomes an AWESOME place, and we see digitally de-aged versions of Sam, Laura, and Jeff having the time of their lives. The icing on the cake:  It was directed by Taika Waititi, the genius behind “JoJo Rabbit”, “What We Do in the Shadows”, and the last two “Thor” movies.

TMZ says the owners of the famous house featured in “Breaking Bad” have dramatically slashed its selling price. The asking price has dropped to $400,000 after an original listing for $4 million. Current owner Joanne Padilla was disappointed to discover that zoning laws prevent turning the New Mexico property into a money-making museum. She is now hoping to at least collect a fair market value.

TMZ says Tom Hanks’ son, Chet Hanks, recently found a stolen dog on the streets of Marina del Rey, California.  Chet located the dog’s owner through a microchip but was told to keep her.  The dog, named Queen, has since joined the Hanks family and met everyone.

RadarOnline.com says Kelly Clarkson is ending her talk show after seven seasons to focus on her children. She reassured fans that it’s not goodbye as she plans to make music and spend time with her family. Sources say, “Kelly has had an incredible life, and everything she touches seems to become a hit. She loves her talk show, but it is on the bottom of her list of things she would like to continue doing moving forward. She is going to continue to give it her all this season, but she would like to wind it down and end it while still on top.”

The 84-year-old mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie is missing, and police think she was abducted.  There’s no word on possible suspects. There’s no word who may have taken her, but she’s without important medications that could cause serious health risks. Savannah will be taking time away from “Today”, and will no longer be covering the Winter Olympics opening ceremony for NBC.

Savannah Guthrie was not on the “Today” show this morning as she and her family focus on finding her missing mother, 84 year old, Nancy. She was last seen Saturday night near her Arizona home, and her loved ones reported her missing Sunday as a search continued today. Authorities say “concerning circumstances” were found at her home, prompting homicide detectives to join the search. In a message shared by her co-hosts, Savannah thanked viewers for their thoughts, prayers and support, saying the family’s hope is for the safe return of their dear mom.

There’s no word what caused the death of the great Catherine O’Hara on Friday, but her organs were on the opposite sides of her body.  It’s a condition she was born with called dextrocardia with situs inversus.  On Friday, she had a medical emergency at her Brentwood, California home at 5 AM and was struggling to breathe. She was rushed to the hospital, where she passed away hours later. Macaulay Culkin, who played her son in “Home Alone”, said, quote, “Mama.  I thought we had time.  I wanted more.  I wanted to sit in a chair next to you.  I heard you but I had so much more to say.  I love you.  I’ll see you later.” (Check out more tributes here.)

Variety magazine says Sony Music Publishing Nashville and Domain Capital Group have purchased the rights to Miranda Lambert’s entire back catalog of songs. Sony Pictures Television is developing a project inspired by Lambert’s music.

Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma, says he doesn’t know he has dementia.  She says Bruce “never connected the dots” that he has this disease, which is common in patients with frontotemporal dementia (FTD for short) and other types of dementia. Emma says Bruce still knows who she is, but the way he connects with her and their kids is different than someone would typically connect with their loved ones.  Quote, “It’s still very beautiful and meaningful. You just learn how to adapt.”

Metal Sucks says the upcoming Grammy Awards will feature a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.  The tribute will include performances by Post Malone, Slash, Duff McKagan, and Chad Smith. The ceremony will take place on Sunday on CBS.

The Emmys recently announced it was going to start giving out a Legacy Award. The goal is to honor TV shows or franchises that have had, quote, “a profound and lasting impact on audiences and remain relevant to society, culture and the industry.”

Nobody got more excited about it than Trekkies.  And it certainly seems logical that “Star Trek” would be a contender.  The only problem is, it’s not eligible.

Why?  Because in 2018, the Television Academy honored the “Trek” franchise with its Governor’s Award, which recognizes, quote, “an individual, company or organization that has made a profound, transformational, and long-lasting contribution to the arts and/or science of television.” As you can tell by that description, the Governor’s Award is rarely given to a show or a franchise.  It’s normally reserved for a person or a company. but it HAS happened.  And the Academy has decided the two awards are so similar, that “Star Trek” can’t win both. Only three other shows have won the Governor’s Award, and thus CAN’T win the Legacy Award.  They are:  “Masterpiece Theater”, “Planet Earth”, and . . . “American Idol”.

Bruce Wilis’ wife, Emma Heming,  tells TMZ that Bruce hasn’t realized he has dementia, and she’s grateful for his lack of awareness. She says his brain can’t identify what is happening to it so he thinks nothing is wrong and is very present in his body.
