Check out pictures of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz on the set of the new “Mummy” movie.

Anne Hathaway was hoping to do an episode of “Hot Ones” to promote her new movie, but her doctor won’t let her. In the upcoming thriller “Verity”, Anne plays an author who does an episode of “Hot Ones”.  But she says they used DUMMY WINGS for the real heaters. She planned on doing the show for real as part of the press tour, but then she got pregnant.  She says, quote, “My doctor said I couldn’t do it because I might go into early labor. “So I still haven’t done the gauntlet yet.  I’m not sure when that’s gonna happen.  Maybe next year.” (Did you or anyone you know go into early labor from eating spicy food?  Is that actually a thing???  I’d love to hear about it.)

Marvel made $26 million over the weekend by re-releasing “Avengers: Endgame” with new footage . . . footage they claimed was VITAL to see in order to get the most out of the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday”. So now, sources say that they’re going to re-release “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” with additional footage. It’s not clear if any of the new footage will be related to “Doomsday”, or if the re-release will even happen before “Doomsday” comes out in December.  “Spider-Man” is still in theaters, so that doesn’t seem likely. One thing they’re supposedly doing is restoring footage that was cut featuring Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple . . . a character she’s played on various Marvel TV shows, including “Daredevil” and “Luke Cage”.

Reality Tea says Sydney Sweeney may play Britney Spears in a film based on Spears’ memoir, “The Woman in Me.”  Universal acquired the rights to the 2023 book. Millie Bobby Brown, Addison Rae, Bailee Madison and Kylie Schultz are also up for the role.  A source says, “The bigger change is that the movie itself has found a clearer creative path. Britney had understandable reservations about reopening intensely personal periods of her life, but discussions have become more productive. The intention is to tell the story from her perspective, with the difficult family dynamics and the restrictions she experienced sitting alongside the scale, excitement and cultural impact of her music.”

The MTV Video Music Awards scored their largest audience in more than a decade on Sunday night… up by 51 percent from last year’s. The Sun says Madonna allegedly restricted  photographers from taking her picture at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. She skipped the red carpet but appeared onstage several times. The show aired her appearances, but few high-resolution photos were distributed. Madonna won seven awards. A source says, “She wanted to control the photos and approve what did and didn’t go out.”

Radar Online says Tom Cruise’s chances of winning an Oscar for his new comedy “Digger” have allegedly dimmed after an early lukewarm response.  The movie is tracking for a $15 million opening this weekend. Cruise plays a wealthy oil tycoon trying to repair an environmental catastrophe he caused. He has received four Oscar nominations. He received an honorary Oscar at the Governors Awards last November.  A source tells the website, “This was supposed to be the moment when Tom finally converted decades of Hollywood goodwill into a competitive acting Oscar, but the feeling now is that it isn’t going to happen with Digger.”

The Blast says Kevin Costner remains open to marriage after his divorce from Christine Baumgartner. He still believes in romance and would marry again if he finds a spark. Costner was recently seen with lifestyle coach Jennifer Milburn in Santa Barbara. A source tells the website,  “He’s always out looking for love. So, dating around and seeing if he can find someone that he can have a spark with is always appealing. He’s having fun dating, but he would get married again.”

The Daily Mail says Jennifer Lopez was recently spotted holding hands with her longtime bodyguard in Milan, Italy.  Fans were waiting for autographs during her outing at Milan Fashion Week. The bodyguard has been seen with Lopez many times before.

Page Six says  Tom Brady has been wearing a $485,000 rainbow Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch as of late. Brady shared a photo of it on Instagram. It has rainbow-colored gemstones around the face and an 18-karat white gold band. Brady also owns a rose gold version of the same watch.

Sylvester Stallone tells The New York Times that his father’s cameo as the bell ringer in the original “Rocky” disrupted the final fight scene.  Stallone gave his father, Francesco “Frank” Stallone Sr., the role because he wanted his love and approval.  Stallone said his father missed a cue, leaving him and Carl Weathers fighting longer than planned. Stallone said Weathers asked what was going on. Stallone said the problem led to an on-set altercation that became heated.

The Hollywood Gossip says “Jersey Shore” star Pauly D proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Nikki Hall, during his recent DJ set at Omnia Dayclub in Las Vegas.  He got down on one knee in front of the crowd and presented a ring as Bruno Mars’ “Marry You” began to play.  Hall nodded as the couple embraced. Stylecaster says former NFL quarterback Tom Brady allegedly suspects his ex-wife, model Gisele Bündchen, shared private details of their marriage with author Lars Anderson for his new book, “Brady: An American Story”.  An excerpt published by The Daily Mail says Anderson describes a handwritten letter Bündchen reportedly sent Brady after the 2018 Super Bowl, asking him to spend more time with her and their children.  Anderson alleges Brady kept the letter in a drawer and reread it. There is no proof Bündchen worked with Anderson.  A source says, “These aren’t stories teammates or friends would know. This is private marriage stuff. In Tom’s mind, the circle of people who could know these details is incredibly small.”

Riley Green serenaded someone’s grandma over the weekend during his performance of “You Look Like You Love Me”.  He said, quote, “This young lady right here, she’s been giving me the eye all night.” He walked down to her and sang directly to her, and at the end, she gave him a kiss on his cheek. That lucky lady could be you.  Riley announced the That’s Just Me Tour, which kicks off in April. He also held a young fan in pink boots and a matching pacifier while singing “Dixieland Delight.”

Kenny Chesney tells The LA Times that he doesn’t like writing fictional songs about himself. “It’s disingenuous for me to put out something I haven’t lived. I’ve done it a couple times with songs that were big records. “There Goes My Life” wasn’t me. I was the interpreter; but I knew people that had, so I was able to make it genuine, singing it for them.”

Stella Lefty tells Songwriter Universe magazine that she was encouraged NOT to make country music. “When I moved out to Los Angeles, I had a lot of noises, a lot of voices in my head of people telling me that I should stick to a certain lane and steer away from country because I wasn’t from the South. I had so many people telling me what to make and it really got in my head, so I went for more of a pop-alternative direction because that’s what they all wanted me to do. But when I started listening to myself and making the music that I loved, it circled back to what I was originally always making—country and pop.”

Lauren Alaina tells Southern Living magazine that “American Idol” was good training for her career. “I said from the time I was about six years old that I was going to be on American Idol…So I think a part of me knew, but to actually be there, and do something that you’ve said you were going to do since you were a little girl is kind of surreal. Looking back on it, it’s kind of a blur. It was a roller coaster. I always say it’s almost like American Idol was boot camp for the music business, because it was so fast paced and I really learned how to do interviews and how to connect with the audience through a camera… It was really hard. American Idol is a funny thing because you’re instantly famous, but you’re not instantly successful. And to have success, you have to really work for it.”

Country Now says Lauren Alaina defended Stella Lefty after commenters criticized her 2026 MTV Video Music Awards look. Alaina called the comments section “not passing the vibe check” and said it saddened her that strangers felt they could speak about someone that way.  Alaina posted, “Do better everyone.” Lefty attended the VMAs for the first time after nominations for Best New Artist and Best Country Song for “Boston.”

The Blast says  Carrie Underwood’s work schedule may allegedly be causing tension with her husband, retired NHL player Mike Fisher.  A source says, “Carrie thrives on being busy. When exciting offers come her way, she finds it incredibly hard to say no. But everyone knows that the more she’s got on her plate, the more he’s got on his own as far as running the house and taking care of the boys. There’s no doubt it wears on him and causes tension between the two of them.”
