Xiamen University researchers have found that men need to exercise twice as much as women to reduce the risk of heart disease. A study found that women can achieve a 30% risk reduction with 250 weekly exercise minutes, while men require 530 minutes for the same benefit. The results suggest that women benefit more from exercise than men.

A recent study found that consuming cheese at least once a week lowers a person’s chance of developing dementia.  Japanese researchers studied 8,000 people and discovered a 24% decrease in dementia risk among cheese eaters. The study says cheese proteins, amino acids, and antioxidants support brain health. 

A pair of British brothers recently broke a Guinness World Record after their giant pumpkin reached a weight of 2,819 pounds and four ounces. Twins Ian and Stuart Paton have been growing massive gourds over the course of 50 years and started when they were teens. They finally broke the record for the largest pumpkin in their sixties. The brothers named the pumpkin “Muggle.”

A 31-year-old man in Florida destroyed about 80 pumpkins outside a Target, worth around $500.  He was arrested for criminal mischief.
