Radar Online claims Johnny Depp’s comeback is starting with a new role as Ebeneezer Scrooge. A source says, “The whole point of this project is to let Johnny be Johnny – and let him do the things audiences love to see him do. He has to create a character and an accent, and he has to disappear under loads of old-age makeup to become a version of Scrooge nobody has ever seen before. And he’s going to have to do that every day for three months, while they shoot in London this Winter. Johnny understands the assignment. This isn’t another Pirates of the Caribbean situation where he can just waltz in after drinking a bottle of red wine with lunch and play a character that’s second nature to him. In Ebenezer, he has to prove that he’s back as a major artist.”
Page Six says Meghan Markle’s “With Love, Meghan” Netflix series will NOT be renewed for a third season. An insider says, “It’s not returning as a series. There have been conversations about holiday specials, but there’s nothing in the works yet. People will see similar cooking and crafting on Meghan’s socials for the brand, but more bite-sized.” Meghan has reportedly pitched ideas for several holiday specials themed around Valentine’s Day and July 4th, despite her series being mocked for showcasing amateurish lifestyle tips.
Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are reuniting for a good ol’ fashioned horror comedy called “Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein”. Of course, that title pays homage to those “Abbott & Costello Meet…” monster movies.
Nerdist says Warner Bros. is developing a Speedy Gonzales movie. The fastest mouse in all Mexico, first appeared as a character in 1953.
Naughty But Nice says Kelly Clarkson is allegedly determined to save her daytime show. A source says, “She loves this show. After some disappointing album and concert sales, this is a big, high-paying job she’s really good at. She’s fighting to make it work. Kelly knows what the audience wants, and she’s hands-on with the creative side. There will be some adjustments — cost cuts, new segments, maybe a tighter schedule — but the show isn’t over. She’s focused and determined. She’s not letting this go without a fight. Kelly is ready to do whatever it takes to keep the show alive.”
Chris Stapleton says only a few people on Earth can pull off what Taylor Swift did on the Eras Tour. Chris took his kids to see it, and they were all amazed. Every song was the production budget of most people’s whole show. After the show, Chris and his kids even got to talk with Taylor. She told them she trained for the tour by singing while running on a treadmill for three hours. Chris laughed and said, “I don’t run three miles on a treadmill, ever.”
This past weekend marked the 11th year of Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa in Cancun. So Dierks Bentley decided to have a little fun at Luke’s expense.
They were both sitting down for an interview, and Dierks was asked to name the headliners. He laughed and said, “Well, if you look at the ad . . . you would think there’s just one.” Luke groaned in the background and Dierks said, “It’s just Luke Bryan’s name in really big letters.” Luke laughed and replied, “It’s an eye test.” Dierks said you have to “adjust the peepers a little bit” to spot his name and Riley Green. And you’d need “20-10 vision” to find Dustin Lynch. (You can listen to them joking around about it here.)
The Globe says Crocodile Dundee star Paul Hogan is allegedly interested in Terri Irwin as a potential mate. Sources reveal, “In his mind, Terri ticks every box. He’s always admired her strength, her warmth and the way she’s carried herself since Steve’s death. There’s nothing flashy or performative about her — she’s genuine and grounded and that really speaks to Paul now. Even though he’s lived in L.A. for years, he still considers himself 100 percent Aussie and he loves the idea of being with another Aussie. And not just any Aussie — the wife of the Croc Hunter would definitely be a big notch on his belt. Paul has a healthy ego so he loves the idea of ending up with someone that’s as high profile and well-loved as Terri is, that’s a big part of why he’s zeroed in on her. And her obvious beauty, of course.”
Naughty But Nice claims Timothée Chalamet allegedly believes dating Kylie Jenner could help him win an Oscar. A source says, “Timothée thinks people are stuck in the past. He doesn’t see Kylie as tabloid baggage — he sees her as cultural power. Awards campaigns are about narrative. And Timothée believes Kylie strengthens his story, not weakens it. You’re going to see them everywhere. Red carpets, parties, industry dinners — Timothée wants voters to associate him with stability, success, and cultural dominance. He’s been warned. Some people think aligning too closely with Kylie could alienate traditionalists. Kylie knows when to step back and when to show up. That’s part of why Timothée trusts her so much.”
The Globe says Mel Gibson is allegedly seeking a new love interest in her thirties following his split from his girlfriend Rosalind Ross. A source says, “The split from Rosalind is not something Mel wanted. He fought hard to make the relationship work, but don’t expect any moss to grow on him. He’s already started looking for his next leading lady. Mel is not the kind of guy who will ever throw in the towel on women. He says turning 70 hasn’t slowed down any part of him. Mel’s dad lived past 100 and Mel plans to do the same, so he feels that he may as well get back out there and meet someone new. He won’t be looking in his own age bracket though. Mel is talking about wanting another child, so he’s looking to meet a 30-something lady who’s ready to take that journey with him. He knows people will roll their eyes at him, but Mel has never cared much about outside opinion.”
