A Gallon of Payback, Courtesy of Dakota Johnson
Don’t get on Dakota Johnson’s [poo] list . . . literally. She once sent a gallon of GORILLA poo to a guy who broke her friend’s heart. She used a real site called PoopSenders.com. You can choose between poo from a gorilla, cow, or elephant, or a combination of all three, and it comes in either a quart or a gallon. The price for revenge isn’t too bad either . . . a gallon of gorilla poo costs $29.95. In related Dakota news, she says “Madame Web’s” flop wasn’t her fault, and that decisions were made by uncreative people in Hollywood.
Darius Rucker just raised over $815,000 for St Jude’s. He held a charity golf tournament and his 16th annual “Darius and Friends” benefit concert. Morgan Wallen surprised the crowd and sang a song. Morgan sang “20 Cigarettes” from his new album “I’m the Problem”. (You can read more about it, here.)
Halle Berry has been proposed to by her boyfriend Van Hunt, but she hasn’t given her answer yet. She says it’ll probably happen, she’s just not in a rush because she’s been married three times. Van says, quote, “So I put out the proposal, and it’s still on hold, as you can see. It’s just out there floating. You know, maybe you can encourage her.” Halle says the hesitation is because she’s been married three times, and Van has been married once.
I don’t know if this is the most brilliant thing I’ve ever heard, or the worst. But however it turns out, you better believe my ticket is as good as bought: Nick Jonas is going to play Paul Stanley in a KISS biopic. There’s no word who’ll play the other three members. (But may I suggest the guys from Hanson?) The movie is called “Shout It Out Loud”, and it’ll be directed by McG, whose credits include those Drew Barrymore “Charlie’s Angels” movies and “Terminator: Salvation”.
Tom Cruise set a Guinness World Record while filming “Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning”. It was for most burning parachute jumps by an individual. Tom jumped out of a helicopter 16 times while strapped to a parachute pre-soaked in fuel and lit ON FIRE. According to Guinness, no other actor or stuntman has come close to that amount of drops. (You can watch Tom’s stunt here.)
RadarOnline.com says Tom Cruise is allegedly demanding $35-40 million upfront to star in a third Top Gun film. A source says, “The current status of the third Top Gun movie is that they are working on the script at the studio level. When it’s ready for Tom’s thoughts and input, it will be presented to him, and hopefully he will agree to make the movie and put it on his schedule. His salary is still going to be subject to negotiation if and when he does commit. But it is so larger it could honestly tank the whole franchise, as it’s doubtful he will allow it to continue without him – and he has big enough clout in Hollywood to make that happen. It’s going to be a different deal structure for the third film. Tom gave Paramount a discount on his salary for the last movie, but he made a killing on his profit participation because the movie was bigger than anybody imagined. Tom has more than proven himself worthy in this role of an upfront salary between $35 to 40 million.”
The Daily Mail says Katy Perry was recently performing in concert when she filmed a video for a fan who had an English exam the next day. Katy said, “Hi Miss Eunice, it’s Katy Perry. I know she’s about to take this exam for English and we just wanna say that we might be a little bit tired because we were on the stage last night. So if you could just be a little kind, this is an exception. Please Miss Eunice, have some kindness for us!”
The Daily Mail says George Wendt’s cause of death has been disclosed. The legendary actor died from cardiac arrest, congestive heart failure and coronary artery disease.
Megan Moroney tells Whiskey Riff that blocking someone after a breakup is sometimes the best choice. “To get over an ex, I don’t know. I think that if your gut knows they’re not right for you, you probably just need to walk away, and it’s tough. It’s hard to leave, but it’s a lot harder to stay in a relationship that isn’t good for you. I always tell my friends too, I’m like, ‘block them. Literally, block them.’ Oh yeah, don’t reach out to me. But also, I gotta block you so I don’t reach out to you.”
InTouch Weekly says Miranda Lambert’s husband Brendan McLoughlin continues to be committed to improving their marriage after a scandal involving him dancing with other women. An insider says, “Brendan insists he never cheated, and they downplayed it all publicly, but there’s no denying he was caught looking flirty with other women. That was a big trigger for Miranda, it shattered the trust. He agreed to sharing phone and social media access, not deleting messages and even telling her anytime he talks to another woman if she’s not around. It’s not about control for Miranda, she just doesn’t want any surprises and she wants to be able to put her mind at ease if she gets any sort of funny feeling.”
Thomas Rhett was doing an interview for a recent edition of Parade magazine when he said sharing rare photos of his daughters made fans emotional. “These moments are so fleeting, and I just wanted to share a glimpse into our family life. Seeing the reactions from fans reminded me how universal these feelings are—cherishing the little things.”
Eric Church and Lukas Nelson were on stage at Eric’s bar in Nashville and decided to cover one of Sabrina Carpenter’s biggest hits, “Please, Please, Please”. It had a soulful, bluegrass vibe. (You can check Eric and Lukas singing “Please, Please, Please”, here.)
