Fishing Gone Wrong: Tyler Hubbard Takes a Hook to the Head

Peter Dinklage from “Game of Thrones” has already been the Toxic Avenger, so why not Santa? That’s who he’s playing in “Naughty”, an upcoming comedy being directed by Olivia Wilde. The movie stars Jennifer Aniston as a woman whose, quote, “only hope of securing custody of her son from her gaslighting trash-bag ex is to find Santa Claus and convince him to testify in her divorce hearing.” “Naughty” was originally announced back in 2023.  At the time, it was described as “Bridesmaids” at the North Pole.  It’s due in theaters in November of 2027.

Macaulay Culkin shared an idea for a “Home Alone” sequel last year during a 35th anniversary screening.  Well, he reportedly met with Disney recently to bring it to life.  His idea is that Kevin McCallister is a widower or a divorcee raising a son by himself.  Quote, “I’m working really hard and I’m not really paying enough attention, and the kid is kind of getting miffed at me. “And then I get locked out.  My son won’t let me in.  And he’s the one setting traps for me.  The house is some sort of metaphor for our relationship.” Reporter Matt Belloni claims that Disney is kissing Macaulay’s [butt] to make it happen.  Quote, “They’re offering him another movie, like he could do his own passion project, if he would also do another ‘Home Alone’.”

Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line was on a camping trip with his family when he somehow got a barbed fishhook stuck in the back of his head.  His wife was able to remove it with pliers and the support of their three kids. Tyler shared a video of the ordeal, and his wife posted her own montage of their trip and joked, quote, “Next time we’ll try to avoid fishhooks in the head.”

The American Heart Association caught up with Ella Langley and her crew on tour to teach them how to perform hands-only CPR.  Even her dog Crue got in on the action. In case you didn’t know, her song “Choosin’ Texas” is the perfect tempo to do CPR to.  It has 112 beats per minute.  The AHA recommends performing chest compressions at a rate of 100 to 120 per minute. (You can see a video of Ella’s class here.)

Megan Moroney abruptly ended her show in Denver last night due to an unspecified illness.  She was only three songs in, when she addressed the crowd that she couldn’t give them the show they deserve. She posted on her Instagram Story hours after to apologize again and announce the rescheduled date of August 27th. Quote, “That was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make . . . I’m quite literally bawling my eyes out in my dressing room and it hurts me so much to disappoint you all . . . I’ve never had to do this and I’m truly so sorry.” (You can watch her break down while addressing the crowd here.)

Megan Moroney was recently spotted hanging out with U.S. soccer star Christian Pulisic.  They were at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Nashville, and of course fans are now going crazy. The two have some history already, as they follow each other on Instagram and Christian previously went to one of Megan’s concerts with his cousin. Right now, there’s no indication they’re anything more than friends, but they were seen in Whiskey Row’s VIP area.  It seems whatever man Megan hangs out with always makes news. (For anyone who didn’t follow this year’s World Cup, Christian was one of the biggest stars of the U.S. men’s national team.  He’s the guy with the Captain America nickname.  They’ve been calling him that for a few years.)

Have you ever wondered what would happen if a sports personality released a country music album?  Well, you’re about to find out. Pat McAfee has officially announced his debut country album.  It’s called, “The Diary of a Polarizing Figure” . . . and it’ll be released on August 14th. The former Indianapolis Colts punter and host of “The Pat McAfee Show” has been teasing the project for a while, and now it’s finally becoming a reality. But one of the best moments from the announcement came courtesy of Luke Combs.  After seeing the news, Luke commented on the post and said, “Not calling me on this?  Unforgiveable.” Pat answered back with a few laughing emojis and clarified there are actually no featured artists on the record.  But Ernest did help him with songwriting. (You can check out his post here.)

David Lee Roth and Alex Van Halen are reuniting tomorrow for the first time in over a decade.  But it’s not to make music. They’re doing a TED Talk in Fargo, North Dakota, moderated by a painter named Robert Vargas. It was originally only supposed to be Vargas and Van Halen, but Dave’s schedule opened up after he canceled the rest of his tour.  The talk will be posted on YouTube in a few weeks. There’s no word what they’ll be talking about.  I mean, Van Halen, obviously, but nobody’s giving specifics.

New Idea magazine says Keith Urban was allegedly left speechless after seeing Nicole Kidman with a mystery man in Italy recently. The date was identified as businessman Michael Reinstein.  A source tells the magazine,  “Up until now, he still had hopes there might be a chance at a reconciliation. He’s absolutely devastated and is going through that feeling of deep loss all over again.”

Aaron Rodgers tells TMZ that his wife gave him permission to play this season for the Steelers. “I thought last year might be it, and then Mike got hired. I talked to the wife, and she said, ‘You can do one more year and see if it works out.’ And then it kind of all came together. No. Zero debate. Zero.”

The Blast says ‘’Deadpool 4’’ is on the way. The legal drama surrounding Ryan Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively has allegedly made some studios cautious about working with Ryan.  A source says, “They think he’s a really nice guy and a great actor. He’s actually really pleasant to work with. But his fee is high and they don’t want to deal with the baggage in the press that he comes with right now  because of the lawsuit. There are definitely still companies distancing themselves from him at the moment because of his wife. He’s made people afraid of him over the years because he’s quite powerful in Hollywood — and he knows it.”

“The Rookie” star Nathan Fillion tells Female First that he got out of a speeding ticket because he was mistaken for Jason Bateman. “I got pulled over once and the officer looked at my ID and said: ‘I recognize you’re an actor’. I said: ‘Yes … actually, I’m pretty good.’ He said: ‘If you give my wife an autograph, I’ll let you off with a warning’. I said: ‘Great.’ He dials his phone. I said: ‘What’s your wife’s name?’ He said: ‘Lily.’ So I wrote: ‘To Lily …’ Then I heard him say: ‘Hey honey, I’m getting you an autograph, it’s Jason Bateman’. And I signed it … ‘All my love, Jason Bateman.’

RadarOnline.com says Tom Cruise is allegedly devastated because his daughter Suri changed her last name from Cruise to Noelle. Noelle is Katie Holmes’ middle name. A source says, “Tom is deeply saddened by this development. While he understands Suri is an adult making her own decisions, seeing his surname disappear from her legal identity has been incredibly painful for him. He never imagined things would reach this point. Those close to Tom believe this is an emotional blow rather than a legal one. He still cares enormously about Suri and hopes that, one day, there will be an opportunity to rebuild their relationship. Right now, though, friends say he feels heartbroken and devastated by what this represents.”
