Whale Shark Green Leaves, Letter “J”
“A Whale Of A Mystery…Green Is Still A Fall Color …& Left Out Of The Science Table?!”
Whale Shark- Surprisingly little is known about the life cycle of the whale shark, which is the largest fish in the sea. Researchers don’t know where the sharks mate, how often they breed, or where they go to give birth.
Green Leaves- Fall leaf colors are actually present year-round. The red, orange, and yellow pigments only show up once chlorophyll breaks down in autumn. Chlorophyll is the chemical that makes leaves green. In other words, those existing colors are just MASKED by the great amounts of “green” chlorophyll.
Letter “J”- The letter “J” is the only letter that has never appeared on the Periodic Table. The letter “Q” was once used as the placeholder name for element 114. After its discovery, it was named flerovium, with the symbol “FL.”
