A Medford man faces multiple charges after a shooting incident that caused a high school football game to be locked down on Saturday.
Police in Medford say 19-year-old Harrison C. Davis was arrested and brought to the Taylor County Jail after the incident. Police say they got a report just before 3pm Saturday that a suspect was shooting a gun into a man's home on the 500 block of South Park Avenue in Medford. The shooting was near Holy Rosary Catholic School. The Medford vs. Chi Hi football game was going on a few blocks away at the same time. The game was stopped for about 2 hours while spectators and players took shelter in the school. Davis was arrested across the Chippewa County Line after his vehicle was found in a ditch. No one was injured. Investigators are looking into the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Medford Police Chief Ken Coyer said recommended charges include 1st Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, Discharging a Firearm in a School Zone, and Discharging a Firearm into a Building.
