  • Former Temptations member Richard Street has died at the age of 70. He's the second former member of the group to die in February. Damon Harris died February 18 at the age of 62.
  • For the first time ever on a Wednesday night, ABC's "Modern Family" drew a better rating with adults 18-49 than Fox's "American Idol." Wednesday's airing of Idol was the lowest-rated performance since season one.
  • Looks like Kathy Bates will be joining the cast of "American Horror Story" for its third season.
  • Must be breakup season: Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen have called it quits.
  • No Doubt was going to tour this year, but have scrapped concert plans to stay in the studio and work on a next album.
  • Singer Anastacia has cancelled her European tour after she was diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time.
  • Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton announced on his web site that he has become a father.
  • Is it over for Miley Cyrus and Liam Helmsworth? Some point out that they went to separate Oscar parties and Liam was pretty snuggly with January Jones.
  • It's looking like a wedding this month for Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux.
  • Actor Dale Robertson, who appeared in many a western, has died at the age of 89.
  • Actress Michelle Williams has ended her romance with Jason Segel after barely a year of dating.
  • Dan Toler, a guitarist for the Allman Brothers band, has died after a long bout with Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was 65.
  • HealthDay News reports that researchers from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst have found that women who eat dried beans and green leafy vegetables are about 40 percent less likely to develop PMS than women who consume less iron.
  • You know what's on a collision course? Next year's Winter Olympics and the Oscars. Looks like the Oscars will probably be delayed to March.
  • Tina Fey has already, by the way, said "No!" to hosting next year.
  • Yep, that was 44-year-old Mark Anthony having fun at Disneyland with his date, 21-year-old Chloe Green.
  • General Norman Schwarzkopf will be buried later this month at West Point.

  • A new UK study finds that people lie about how much alcohol that they drink. [Then again, maybe they simply can't remember.]
  • GUYS WITH AOL EMAIL ADDRESSES LOVE STRIP CLUBS _ AOL users are more likely to head to a strip club for bachelor party festivities. In a survey by a company that books bachelor parties, AOL users account for 25.7% of pre-booked entries to strip clubs. Yahoo users follow with 24.6% and Hotmail after with 21.8%.
  • MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT WITH BURRITO _ Erik Brown, a Tampa, Florida. resident, has been charged with assault for hitting a 16-year-old boy. The 16-year-old was reportedly arguing with his mother and that's when Brown flung a Taco Bell burrito at his face. The boy wasn't injured, but did have burrito cheese, sauce, and meat all over his face.
  • Apparently a TON of people in the Northeast passed the time during Superstorm Sandy by having SEX.  Because doctors and clinics in the area are gearing up for a huge wave of BABIES.  One clinic says they've seen a 30% bump in women scheduling births for late July and early August . . . exactly nine months after the storm. 
  • According to police, these are some of the, quote, "trending hot items" people are stealing right now:  Tide detergent . . . chicken wings . . . human hair . . . gold teeth . . . hay . . . paving stones . . . maple syrup . . . cloth napkins . . . and truck tailgates. 
  • GARY OLDMAN JOINS DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES _ Gary Oldman has joined the cast for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the sequel to the successful Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
  • NEW ON DVD THIS WEEK _ Released Tuesday, February 26.
