  • Shia LaBeouf's Broadway debut will have to wait. The actor's dropped out of "The Orphans" due to "creative differences."
  • Scarlett Johansson is wearing a huge rock on her ring finger, but insists she's not engaged.
  • Wow, Governor Chris Christie's approval rating in New Jersey is at 74%. They love him!
  • Robin Roberts' first day back as co-anchor of ABC's "Good Morning America" after a five-month hiatus led to the show's best ratings since last November, drawing 6.1 million total viewers.
  • "Zero Dark Thirty" has been officially banned in Pakistan.
  • A new study says that calling yourself old can make you feel as bad about your body as calling yourself fat.
  • Lou Myers, who played Vernon Gaines on "The Cosby Show" spin-off "A Different World," has died. He was 76.
  • The next round of gaming consoles is upon us. Sony has unveiled the Playstation 4. Probably on sale just in time for Christmas.
  • The small house in West Long Branch, New Jersey, where a young Bruce Springsteen wrote "Born to Run" and several other of his early hits, is up for sale. Yours for only $349,000.

  • Billboard has just added YouTube to its formula of what makes the #1 song. Therefore, "Harlem Shake" sits atop the charts this week.

  • RACE TO THE FILM FINISH - Sunday is the Daytona 500 and the Oscars.
  •  The Edinburgh Zoo says it sees signs that its endangered panda bears may soon begin mating. [The female has gone on a diet, and the male was seen shopping for a toupee.]
  • TOO MANY APPS, NOT ENOUGH TIME _ Are we suffering app overload? People download a lot of apps, but they abandon 95 percent of them, according to a a new study (by Nuance). Bottom line: We keep using the same apps. Facebook, YouTube, Google Play, Google Search, and Gmail were the top five apps in both 2011 and 2012.
  • TEEN FALLS 45 FEET FROM SKI LIFT _ A 17-year-old in Santa Fe, New Mexico, just wanted to throw a snowball at his friends. While sitting in a ski slop chairlift. 45 feet off the ground. The 17-year-old must have thrown so hard that he knocked himself off the seat, dangled from the chairlift for a bit, then fell. Luckily they put skilifts over snowy mountains and, despite an ambulance ride the the hospital, he was OK. See the video.
  • GAME OF THRONES TRAILER ON KIMMEL _The Season 3 trailer of HBO's Game of Thrones makes its exclusive world premiere on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) tonight. A big fan of the series, Kimmel kicks off the countdown to the new season premiere, which happens on Sunday, March 31.
  • Want to lose weight?  All you need to sacrifice is your MARRIAGE.  According to a new study, 50% of men and more than 50% of women lose an average of six to 10 pounds when they have an AFFAIR.  The reason could be an affair makes you HAPPIER, which can lead to healthier eating . . . or that the stress leads to burning more calories.
  • According to a new study, the age when women officially feel old is . . . 46.  Until age 46, you might TALK about being old, and even worry about being old . . . but you don't totally BELIEVE it until you hit 46.
  • On Wednesday, around 8:00 P.M., a 10-year-old in Massachusetts called 911 on his MOM . . . to report that she was forcing him to go to bed early.  An officer went to the house and lectured him on abusing 911, but there were no arrests or fines.  He probably DID get to stay up late to talk with the cop, though. 
  • Yesterday, around 1:00 A.M., a 27-year-old woman in Pennsylvania was arguing with her boyfriend and assaulted him . . . with a FURBY.  Yeah, those creepy stuffed animals.  She hit him in the face with it and was arrested for misdemeanor simple assault. 
  • A new report lists the most common medical procedures that are a waste of time, including a Caesarians before 39 weeks, EEGs for headaches, and antibiotics for pinkeye.
  • People who quit smoking by age 44 live as long as non-smokers.
  • Since 1981, Albert Lexie has shined shoes for people at Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital.  He charges five dollars a shine . . . and most people tip him.  But for the last 32 years, Albert has donated ALL of his tips and Christmas bonuses to the hospital.  That's a total of $200,000 . . . or one THIRD of his lifetime earnings.
