  • If you thought a prequel to "Sex and the City" was a good idea, you must not have known it was actually happening. The CW's "Carrie Diaries" premiered on Monday to just 1.6 million viewers.
  • Racing car driver Danica Patrick has filed for divorce from her husband after seven years to Paul Hospenthal. She won't be seeking spousal support and as the couple had a prenuptial agreement.
  • Stage and film actor, Conrad Bain, who played the white adoptive father of two young African-American brothers in the TV sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes," has died of natural causes. He was 89.
  • "NCIS" snared 22.34 million total viewers on Tuesday night. The ratings were up 9% from the previous week and it was the second-most watched episode in the 10-year show's history.
  • Dan Brown's releasing his fourth book in the Robert Langdon series, "Inferno," in May.
  • Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte will star in a six-episode reality series debuting in April. Called, "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?," the E! series will follow the 28-year-old swimmer preparing for the 2016 Rio Olympics
  • Among the tweaks to American Idol this season: judges are hitting the road and going to contestants who, because of their work schedules, were unable to go to the mass auditions.

  • VANDAL LEAVES WALLET BEHIND _ Forrest Kenneth Randall allegedly went out to a Dodge dealership in Nacogdoches, Texas, to have a little fun in his free time. According to a report, he smashed out the windows on 20 vehicles on the lot. Unfortunately he left his wallet at the scene.
  • AMERICAN IDOL _ Another 2-hour auditions edition tonight (FOX), from Chicago.
  • As their wives and girlfriends know all too well, many guys like to make a big fuss when they're feeling under the weather. But now scientists are saying that "man flu" may not be a myth and that guys really do get illnesses worse than gals. It's all because women have a more powerful immune system than men, thanks to their hormones,
  • This month, Wrangler is coming out with a new line of jeans designed to FIGHT CELLULITE.  The jeans are, quote, "infused with moisturizing and slimming ingredients" that eliminate cellulite and help your thighs look slimmer.  The jeans will sell for $135 a pair . . . which is a lot, considering the slimming effect only lasts through four to six washes.
  • On Monday, a 47-year-old man was in Orlando with a bag containing $400,000 worth of diamonds.  It's not clear why he had the diamonds.  What IS clear is that he's a fool.  Because he decided to stop to eat at an all-you-can-eat BUFFET . . . left the bag of diamonds sitting in his car . . . and it was stolen.  Police are searching for the thieves. 
  • MOST CALORIC RESTAURANT DISHES HONORED _ The average person should ingest around 2,000 calories per day -- which is what makes it so incredible that the Cheesecake Factory's Bistro Shrimp Pasta contains 3,120 calories. It's the top "winner" of this year's Xtreme Eating Awards, which highlight the highest-calorie meals you can order while eating out.
