Airstaff: Caitie Cole

Hi! I'm Caitie, and I'm so happy to meet you all through the airwaves!

I am an extremely proud Eau Claire native. I grew up in an awesome neighborhood with my parents, and younger sister Molly. I graduated from North High School (go Huskies!), and then attended UW-Superior (go Yellowjackets!) where I got a degree in Mass Communications. It was also there where I found my love for radio.

I was lucky to work at the campus radio station KUWS (which is a Wisconsin Public Radio station. It's pretty awesome!). I was in charge of my own jazz show, where I was a DJ for up to 4 nights a week, planned the music, and trained in new DJ's.

After graduation, I moved back to Eau Claire, where I got a job outside of radio for a couple years. I realized later that I missed radio way too much, and decided to take a course at Radio1 Broadcast School in La Crosse in the fall of 2011, and here I am!

I am a huge fan of music, so it's pretty perfect I get to work around it every day! I grew up listening to The Beatles, Paul McCartney, ZZ Top, Fleetwood Mac, and CCR. Then I discovered Tim McGraw (my first love, haha), and country music in general. Current favorites are Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, and so many others that you would probably get bored reading 2 pages of my favorite artists and songs. I have also gone to Country Jam for many years, and it is one of my favorite things of the summer!

I am also a die-hard Packers fan, and get really excited when each new season begins! I scream and yell a lot during the games, which pretty much embarrasses the people I'm around haha! I also root for the Badgers and Brewers!

I love getting out and meeting new people, so if you see me at an event or at a concert, please don't hesitate to come up and say hi! Talk to you all on the airwaves!
